When first starting out if you have them . 5, Gorkon ,Kang. If not Pmc will work. As you build it up and get different researches finished go with 2, Stonn ,5. Then once high enough,like myself, Say eff it run 5, Kuron, Una. Cause ..6 minutes 75 thousand cargo, Done💁🏻♂️. Nowwww with all that said. Forget all that. Get the Auger, get it to mid t5 at least. It will have a 95 thousand cargo. Run 5, Tal,GG/Nero and forget even running the Mantis anymore. Cause at 46 yer goin for a rare ship( Pilum ect) anyway, the Auger is just dropping it sooner🥳
if you have an explorer, hopefully at least Enterprise, use that with Nero as captain with Tal and SNW Spock, and only hit APEX hostiles, which are interceptors so you gain the triangle. Mantis is a pain at lower levels

Given Tom Paris lower decks if you have him probably makes the two starter loadouts broken for leveling through most low 20s content, unfortunately if you don't get him which will be a problem next week you still have the three newbie sets untill you can start picking up Borg officers.
Great video. With so many new officers it was difficult to mix and match new crews. To compliment this video, it would be nice to have a video showing different crews for armadas of different types (eg. eclipes, fkr, cardassian, formation, solo (jem'hadar and borg), etc.
when i was level 40, 2+ yrs ago, my ent was 6M and that was considered very high. Now, my ent is almost 20M ...the research and primes, with buffs made all the ships insanely high
I think it's worth pointing out the difference between red hostiles and yellow mission hostiles where PMC/PMT doesn't work but Five, Khan & Kang/Marcus/Charv works extremely well against the yellow hostiles and does surprisingly well at flipping the combat triangle
Perhaps my number one complaint about situational crews: You're forced to return to base for every change. Can't even have officers swap seats on the bridge without being docked. Stupidly unrealistic and needless annoyance. You should be able to move officers freely within a ship at any time. And two ships in the same system should be able to swap crews.
Hostile non armada grinding. Janeway, Dr, Torres, stack health & attack btd, add Rutherford if you need shield hp boost for Janeway capt ability. 2nd grind crew: 5of11 as capt, Lorca, Pic Beverly, btd Hugh Mariner and odo. Really only the two crews you need for red triangle destruction Side note: change 5of11 for snw uhrua if on an Interceptor and going for freebooters.
20 - 30 Heavies??? My kelvin (T4,L20) with Pike. Moreau, Chen can take out 70+ Federation Transports. It only can take out at best, 3 Heavies with PMC. My maxed Enterprise is lucky to take out 1 heavy (Beverly, Khan, HF Mudd). For borg probes, I use SNW Pike, SNW Uhura, 5, with Fat Borg below deck. I get over 1.6M in a level 37 system using my Talios (T6, L23). I used PMT for Borg probes on my Vidar, and for swarm on my Franklin and Franklin-A. For Freebooters I still use PMC and take out about 10 or so L48. I know research is everything but something isn't jiving here. Ju got some splainin to do Rev...
I have to agree, who is taking out 20-30 heavies with an Enterprise. Mine is tier 7, with Picard, Bev, T lann i get destoyed against 1 heavy. PMC i can take out about 5 reg capitol traders.
I will say i tried janeway, Kim and Torres on my valdore to grind 51-53 surveys for the Cerritos event and I was not disappointed. With that being said I have sunk every scrap of event store currency I have gotten into Torres just for the hull breach capability for armadas not even thinking about grinding. It is one of my deep space grind crews now
I'm using 5 gg tal all the time to grind in capital system on the augur. Even though I cannot kill too many at a time, usually around 9-10 per hull, it is extremely efficient due to the augurs tiny repair costs compared to my g4 ships
Rev, it's such a waste to use Chakotay in the Voyager hostiles crew when he only procs for madas - never waste a slot with an ability that's not going to benefit you while grinding. BLT is great for grinding but she doesn't do mitigation, she's piercing. That's where the Doc comes in with mitigation. Best Voyager crew for grinding is Janeway Doc BLT, with attack and health builds below deck. If you want to use LD abilities, Mariner & Tendi are best suited and what I use on my 2nd grinder (on K'Tinga) while I'm grinding heavy transports in capital systems. 5 Khan Lorca is my primary grinding crew for grinding heavies. And for those who are going to ask, first officer listed is always the captain (any other way of listing crews is ineffectual).
I'm still confused as to how we know which type of weapon hostiles are using.. in general I know that explorers use energy weapons, interceptors use kinetic but then you get into regular traders and heavy traders.. is it just something learned through reading? Like what do borg probes use being battleships?
Definitely not for low levels this vid. I am level 23 and the only officer in this video that i have is Grush. I do not know how you think the low levels have these.
Why use Chatokay, armada only officer and don't even mention Doc? I use Janeway as captain and Torres and Doc as bridge officers, Doc gives mitigation and Torres piercing, so it is the perfect combination

Liked the content but you said you covered all hostiles...but you missed one....mission or yellow hostiles for completing them...i am trying various crews but not crazy happy yet...please can you tell me the most effective crew to kill these yellow hostiles...i am lvl 45 just..i have tasha yar and data but lvl 1...i would appreciate any help
Fair content. You have a tendency to start talking about lower levels and then wander into L25 and up. Not much use to players trying to get setup properly when in the under L20 range. I'll be back, when I get there. Thanks for the info!
a common question that pops up in AC is how to kill 8742 with T1 lvl 5 Voyager with no up grades. my answer has been, Janeway/beleana/snw Spock, or Janeway/beleana/doc or one teammate found pike/Monroe/snw Spock worked.
True... But why take away yer best 2 Rep grinding officers up to level 52 hostiles? Grind rep at the same time..in the Frank run tng Laforge, Ta'lan, Cath. Instead of 70 swarms squashed ,ya get 67. Still a massively good run💁🏻♂️ My go to til I got the Frank-A. Don't use the crew on the A tho ..die too quickly 😂🤦♂️
i found SNW full synergy (with Pike as captain) most effective if the ship provides the firepower. So vidars and franklins only. Did not try using mantis because the explorer loot is too small
789 sucks at every level... back when I was hitting 29 probes PMT was better, also I feel Jaylah Jang SNW Spock should get a mention for Swarms, also 5/SNW officer GG Tal for freebooters or high level Actian.
Exactly. Ive never like 7,8,9 as i get less loot per run than i did with pmc. And yes i said pmc not pmt. Pmt is only effective vs certain level borg systems, most systems pmc is better than pmt
@revdeuce one hostile crew you miss here! A hostile crew against actian! If you don't us mantis because of his chargo. I know using the talios with the 5 Tal Georgiou. My tailos is tier 11 now. But with tier 10. I can beat the 5 Tal Gorgiou the 49 with no problem. I can hunt 1,5 Million chargo. The actian hostile don't work with other crew on other ships.
I belive full SNW works even better them PMC cause they help kill hostiles fast while making ur mitigation on cap. As prof Talios farm crew is best on full SNW not PMC or PMT big motive: ships start to have energy AND kinect dmg near 50/50 so u only lower one or other.

@@strifenineteen actually Kang, if you have him maxed, is better than using T'Laan/Cath. Best crew to grind swarms, especially in the 40s is Jaylah SNW Spock Kang. You can punch up several levels higher than your dailies require to get more FM2s and to finish swarm events faster.

Not sure what drugs you’re on Rev but Janeway doesn’t work on Freebooters. I tried that exact crew you suggested and 1 lvl 45 Freebooter took half of my hull health 👎🏼
Re Epic 34s being 10M+ - I have an alliance mate who's got to Syndicate Level 33 and started his generators abilities. His maxed Enterprise now coasts into the 14M power range.
Oof i wouldnt nessessarily go for full Janeway crew against freebooters. Even without sending 100% of the incoming damage to your shields they do lots of damage to your shields, this will deplete your shields fast and take hugh chunks out of your hull if you go a little too high. Instead take something like SNW Spock/Uhura/Ortegas, Georgiou/Nero and Tal, or SNW Spock/Uhura/Ortegas, PIC Beverly, Decius or SNW Spock/Uhura/Ortegas, Gorkon/Lorca, Khan (no Hugh LD) or Chang, Gorkon/Lorca, Khan (no Hugh LD)

Lorca does well if you need hull breach on the first shot, or if your ship doesn't fire many shots. If your ship only fires 1-3 weapons with 1-2 shots each, Lorca can proc HB more reliably than Gorkon. Gorkon does well if you have a high crit chance, fire many shots, and don't need hull breach on the first shot. Which one is more reliable depends on your ship and officer tier.
Due to many people not having hugh I don't focus on him here. He's extremely difficult to source and more of a a universal officer anyway. You put him with any of these groups as a below decker .

I am level 27. gonna be 28 tommorow. I have pike and Moreau and my best ship is currently a D3 for below deck. is Badgey worth using? I got him via the use of pc client. if not should I replace him with Tom Paris? for the rest of the below deck I was using a Gorkon crew. I assume I should just use otherore built up officers as stat sticks but what stat should I focus on?

For heavies, I use Beverly (c)/Georgiou/Tal. PMT didn't work as well for me. For Freebooters, I use SNW spock (c)/Khan/Pic Beverly on a T8 Enti.
Yes rev is dead wrong about pmt for heavies. That crew dont work that good. I use young mud, bev, tlaan works way better than pmt.

Under 20 is generally something that takes people 2-4 weeks. There's really only one hostile crew: NG Laforge-NG Crusher-Chen.

A yr ago all my crew were PMC/T PBEVT/Jen and raiding. Raiding has gotten lost sos mostly armada crew. Hope refresh both

Mine are 22mm and I’ve seen bigger.

There's an ops 39 with a 15mil enterprise on my server
how do I get a 10mil enterprise? I have mine maxed out 9/9 and only 6.7mil :(
Research is a big one! Also any artifacts you've unlocked and of course you're buildings. Quite a bit goes into a ship's power!

Not suitable for all hostiles. Only good for hostiles with large hull/shields and low DPR

Not got lorca, use gorkon actually more reliable
Lorca does well if you need hull breach on the first shot, or if your ship doesn't fire many shots. If your ship only fires 1-3 weapons with 1-2 shots each, Lorca can proc HB more reliably than Gorkon.
Gorkon does well if you have a high crit chance, fire many shots, and don't need hull breach on the first shot. Which one is more reliable depends on your ship and officer tier.

Correct. Voyager/Talios/Defiant are all level locked at T3 for level 39. Something we really argued against, but lost out on :(

Due to many people not having hugh I don't focus on him here. He's extremely difficult to source and more of a a universal officer anyway. You put him with any of these groups as a below decker .
@@RevDeuce I was assuming many would be able to unlock him with the event store then I watched your video about how little currency we are actually getting this far. So no unless they did well on the SLB's and only need a handful of shards. He is likely still out of reach
Janeway is completely uselss against traders beyond her officer ability damage boost

@@jrspaulding8735 Actually with more testing and all possible research done( I'm ops 46) with a T3 voyager I used janeway Torres and a random voyager crew and easily killed lvl 40 hirogen and came home with plenty of loot

for below deck. is Badgey worth using? I got him via the use of pc client. if not should I replace him with Tom Paris? for the rest of the below deck I was using a Gorkon crew. I assume I should just use otherore built up officers as stat sticks but what stat should I focus on?
