This is high level creative skating. I don't care about the initial warning; The two seizures I had during the flashing colored light scenes were worth it because this is so good.
I love those moments when I become aware of the fact that i'm sitting here after a session today, admiring another human fucking THRIVING; Reminding me that there are many doors to walk through in rollerblading and inspiring me for my next session.
Thank you so much and if this provides any kind of inspiration for you to take on something you've been wanting to do in skating and in life, then that's all I could ever hope for. That's what's up! ♥︎
You know it's art when you can't even describe half the tricks in a line! It's like, "butt slide on handrail to soul to stairbash to makio-sidewalk/wallride to pirouette to wtf-is-that-idk?!". I'd love to see Robbie in a big competition just to hear the color commentators try and attempt to describe the run in real time. That ish would be doubly epic! Great stuff! You are an inspiration, sir!
Haha, the naming of the tricks and combo is definitely something that pops into my mind, as well. Haha. It's a lil something to giggle about. Cheers for all the kind words. Stoked you enjoyed the part!

This melted my mind like the 420 Geoff Phillip edit like 10 years ago. Phillip got robbed after that magnificent run. I literally almost tear up thinking about it. Bruh went hard for it.
OMG, ya'll too kind! I love this comparison to calligraphy. When I've explained the pathways of my tricks being non-linear (mentioned in Jump St. and Mushroom Blading) this is exactly what I'm referring to. Thx so much!!
Its not my favourite style of skating but I love the variety in our culture!! I love that he get advantatge every obstacle of the street.. not only ledges or hadrails!! Good job🌈
I love this comment Alberto because it's so on point with the fact that there's plenty of styles out there in skating which may not be someone's preferred or favoruite. But to have respect and acceptance of their existence shows a great maturity in one's outlook towards skating as a whole. Rollerblading is filled with so many varying streams of style and execution, and I'm pleased you not only enjoyed the film but appreciate the variety in the culture. That's what's up!! 🙏💖
Robbie I am simply blown away. The video synthesis. The style of filming. The editing and post effects. The pure expression in outfits, style, and skating. This experience is next level. It had me enthralled. The music works so well too. I'm in awe of what you're achieving. Pullar told me about this and I am speechless. 10/10.

Lots of love to you matey!
Genius from start to end!!! Would have been fun to explore more of that story-building intro :) . Loved everything in this video, and I keep on watching it!
Loved it. I agree with Mushroom B. guys; you look like you're having so much fun that it's inspiring. And I believe there is so much artistic manifestation in your skating style that makes it wordly heritage. Also, the essence in fashion, music and cinematography+edition make this piece an icon that is worth spreading. Thanks Rob for this life output and message of existence in joy.
I was wondering how can you be so good, creative and stylish?! This is a piece of art! I really love it and I noticed that you never repeat your outfit! Haha I need a some clothes like yours. ❤️
Holy shit. Robbie, thank you so much, and congratulations! Saturday morning here in Thailand, having my coffee. So good. Gonna watch it again. Also, I really enjoyed listening to you talk with Joey and Todd. Cheers Robbie!
Awww cheers mate! Hope you're enjoying your weekend out there. Big love to you and the Thai scene! And pleased you enjoyed the Mushroom Blading episode as well. Was a really fun one to partake in! 🙏💖
First and foremost Robbie Pitts is a vibe! That was super fun and very creative! Great work. Some slightly more in depth thoughts... The emotions I felt after watching this were akin to how I felt after seeing the Damien Hirst retrospective at the Tate. Instead of questioning art, I'm questioning inline skating. In a sport with anti-establishment sentiment and creativity so central to it's core, it's always amazed me how many rules and uniforms have been established over the years. It's amusing to see to this day how many people mock their own history and fashion, yet fervently follow current trends with clothing and tricks without a sense of irony. Like in music, when genres, crossover and blend to create another, I feel this is a similar seminal moment in a blading. Robbie has brought some great ideas to the forefront. Mixing traditional 'Aggressive' manoeuvres with elements from other styles of inline skating, proudly pushing forward the mushroom tradition but also with the use of visual effects, acting and humour. This creates a unique viewing experience. Robbie, whilst he comes across as a very kind and friendly person, is incredibly confrontational with his art. For some people I feel he directly challenges their masculinity in an uncomfortable way. He overtly questions the trick vocabulary of 'aggressive' skating, but shows enough reverence and homage to traditional tricks he can't be distanced from the culture. This also highlights the importance and history behind certain grinds and feet positions and the associated naming structures. He clearly takes influence from the image of rollerblading during its initial explosion in the 80's and early 90's with neon colours and tight clothes. An image many have tried to distance themselves from, for decades now. He also highlights that skate videos are not just an athletic endeavour, they are a shameless fashion show. And he does this wholeheartedly. Possibly the only person to take the rollerblading fashion show past Bacemint levels of outfit changes, which is no small feat! The streets aren't just a playground for Robbie they are also his catwalk. Whatever you think, love it, loathe it, whether slightly amused or majorly inspired. Robbie has made art, and what art does is force emotional reactions. This is a great moment in inline skating history. Looking forward to what's next.
Honestly, this is one of the most touching reviews I have ever read about myself and my skating. Coming from an Art & Design background, I really appreciate the analytical and academic approach to your writing style, and am touched by not only your interpretation but also the accuracy to a lot of your points. Incredible work. Great edition!
Cheers Rafael! Thx so much!
Robbie, that was my first introduction to you and I am pretty blown away bruv. As a film maker, I can honestly say that was one of the most creatively edited pieces of ANYTHING I have seen in my 36 years on the planet. This part KICKS ASS! 😆 There are transitions in here that I have never seen before.. 3:26 Especially rocked me. I kinda wanna nick that masking concept and make a whole music video out of it.. Wow is all I can say. Much love from a fellow skippy :)
Love ya work Robbie!
Aw thank you so much Joel! I really appreciate you reaching out. 🙏💖

THANKS so much Edwin! LA is a great city, despite it's reputation of sometimes not being so. I love its quirks and uniqueness. And stoked you enjoyed the psychedelic fisheye-that was definitely something I wanted to utilize for the film. Much love mate!
I stated skating in 1995, and thought I'd seen it all. Then THIS comes out. Wow!
Wow, Robbie! Gives me hope for the future. 😀
OMG, that is soo nice to hear! ♥︎
I always think I'm not going to enjoy a robbie pits section because I'm more in to traditional and stunt blading edits but every fucking time I'm wrong, this was phenomenal!!
Yay! That is a lovely surprise. Pleased to hear you enjoyed the film!
the 180 lou kang monoroll to abstract cess slide sooo sick

Im such a 450 royale kind of grinder blader but dang...i really enjoyed this. So many fun looking tricks. I kept day dreaming about stuff i want to try during the section that i had to watch it 4 times just to finish it.
