    Tbh, I think if he could barley survive by the skin of his teeth, he would end up severely upping his game afterwards. More tech, more training, More gadets, more everything. It'd be one hell of a learning experience, and honestly this just makes me realize how much I would like for a game or another adaptation of batman where he's still somewhat new and has to adapt and overcome no matter the odds, imagine how insanely sick that'd be.

However there are various points in the story where Batman is forced to use a unique gadget to progress further. Such as the explosive gel, the Cryptographic Sequencer, Line Launcher, and triple Batclaw. So without any more of them Telltale Batman would be stuck. Not because he’s weak but because he just simply can’t with his Telltale arsenal

    I think he would survive by the skin of his teeth, but the experience would leave a deep mark, as this Batman has never fought anyone who was outright superhuman; but here, not only did he saw his nightmares take form three time because of the Scarecrow, but he also fought a giant crocodile man, an army of mutated monsters and a killer plant invasion.
    He would be really shaken by all of this and would need some time to rest.

    My guess is that he can but it would be extremely difficult and definitely a very brutal experience to go through. The Arkham verse version is on a whole other level of violence, cruelty and dangerosity even compared to most interpretations of Batman. Not to say Telltale Batman is weak, at all, but he's certainly going for a very violent experience compared to what he's familiar with.
    For the rest of the Arkhamverse:
    Arkham City: He could probably survive for a good amount of times. The Abramovici twins would be the greatest challenge but aside from that, he could probably be good, though not unscathed, I don't recall Telltale Bats pulling out some fights-dozens-of-inmates-at-the-same-time casual feats. But Grundy would simply crush him. And if by miracle he survives that, then I don't see him surviving the League of Assassins. And after that, Ra's, Freeze and Clayface would obliterate him.
    Arkham Origins: I'm gonna be generous and say he has some chances of going further than Croc, which again is very generous. He would probably fare relatively well and reach the Final Offer and the Penguin. Then Deathstroke shows up and annihilate him. From there, it's just suicide. Bane would obliterate him, Shiva wouldn't have to put any real effort, Firefly would nuke him, Deadshot would (pun intended) one-shot him, TN-1 Bane is not even funny, the Joker himself would probably take him down, Mr Freeze would destroy him even with a hastily-made suit, I believe even Copperhead and Bird would be able to defeat him. The only ones I can see him defeat are Anarky and Black Mask.
    Arkham Knight: Unless he has the Bat tank, he dies in the opening. There's not a snowball of chance in Hell that he would somehow defeat the army of tanks, drones and mercenaries specifically trained to take down Arkham Batman. Scarecrow is on a whole different level even compared to Asylum and would outsmart him with absolute ease. As for the Arkham Knight, it would probably last some seconds before the Knight just destroys him with a few punches.
    Not going to talk about Kill the Justice League because it's not an Arkham game for me, I refuse to consider it canon.

    Storywise, It's interesting to think about what Telltale Batman would do differently. His universe isn't as bad as Arkham's, so I don't think he'd be as jaded as the other. My memory is bad, but he tries to help most of his villains (or at least has the choice to) doesn't he? Arkham Bane might be physically superior to Telltale Bane, but he's just as "smart" (meaning not at all), the tubes are a very blatant and exposed weakness, and he hasn't displayed any sort of resistance to electricity. Telltale Batman has better gear than Arkham Asylum Batman and is downright more violent, he has no qualms using batarangs as slashing/piercing weapons.

  • @evil_resident9
    @evil_resident9 10 месяцев назад +6

    Telltale Batman actually fights and beats both Bane and Freeze at the same time if in episode 4 you take the blame and save Catwoman and later go take down the pact as Batman instead of Bruce. You can argue that there's a moment where they had Batman in trouble with Bane holding him down and Freeze about to ice him if John didn't intervene but they were still 2 against one and Batman ultimately won the fight. You can say that Bane from episode 5 was stronger than Bane from episode 4 but like I said Telltale Batman still won a 2 vs 1 fight with Bane and Freeze so I don't think he would lose against Arkham Bane, if he would be in trouble he would just use his superior gadgets more to take him down such as the bombs and missiles something the Arkham one doesn't have. I also see him beating Ivy thanks to his gadgets even if after a tough fight.

    The idea of a third Telltale Batman that’s set in a supermax prison would be great. I haven’t played them in AWHILE but a rough and rushed idea could be;
    Episode One: Focus on lower power villains like Zsasz, Two-Face, a humanoid Killer Croc, Rat Catcher or Calendar Man. Basically setting up the cast of characters we can see during episode 3 & 4. Ending stinger would be Bruce Wayne meeting the new warden Dr Hugo Strange
    Episode 2: Focus on the drama relating to a new warden at the prison. Batman investigates something that Zsasz mentioned about experiments in the prison. Bruce Wayne grows close to Strange professionally due to his funding towards the supermax prison that helps contain Batman’s rogues. The end stinger could be either Bruce or Batman trapped inside the prison.
    Episode 3 + 4: This would be like Arkham Asylum where it’s one long night of fights + frights. If you’re Bruce I’d want for the very first bit to be you making a makeshift suit out of guards uniforms and their body armour. You’d get a batsuit + gadgets before the end of episode 3 but I always love makeshift armours and low profile stealth suits. Episode 3’s stinger would be discovering the lab that’s experimenting on croc, which leads to episode 4 where the first thing you do is tense conversation with a now mutated croc. The way you treated him during your first fight, the decisions you made on the board and the method you used to subdue the scientist all come into affect wether Croc try’s to leave or fights you. The final decision of this encounter would be to let him go freely or to actively engage in a fight with a now souped up Killer Croc. Continue on through the asylum meeting friends old and new until you reach the warden’s officer. The ending stinger will be finding Dr Strange’s notes discussing and approving these inhumane experiments or if you found out about them during episode 2 instead you learn that Strange knows your identity.
    Episode 5: You return to the cave with all this new information. While you rest you sort through it. I’d want the first half of this episode to focus solely on Bruce’s recovery after such heavy Batman action last time. Tiffany, Alfred and Bruce spend a night together figuring out how best to strike Strange without the prison shutting down or the situation getting worse. Eventually you figure out a method that fits your Batman and go after Dr Strange. The final act of our play begins, you go to Strange deal with the guards at his home. “Good Evening Mr Wayne, I’ve been expecting you” Strange says calmly. Battle of wits and/or fists ensue until your at the edge of a river. Croc jumps out and grabs Strange, after all that Dr Strange has done will you let Croc get his revenge, talk him down or finally fight this 8 feet tall beast.

    My first major criticism is assuming that Telltale Batman would react to Scarecrow's fear toxins the same way Arkham Batman does. Arkham Batman has had years to deal with Crane's crap, whereas TT Batman is being exposed to it for the first time. For comparison, he succumbed to the Children of Arkham's rage serum without much resistance.

  • @DeadLight63
    @DeadLight63 10 месяцев назад

    One aspect I think that needs to be considered is how much more trusting this version of Batman is. While Arkham Batman is pretty selective about who can and can’t help him, TT Batman is more than willing to accept aid. He fights side by side with GCPD numerous times, has a partnership with Catwoman in most iterations and even John Doe depending on player choices, and actively tries to help those he believes can be better (Tiffany, Lady Arkham, John, Mr. Freeze, even Harley should the player attempt so).
    I think TT Batman could easily secure himself some help for his tougher fights, Cash and some other Arkham guards especially seemed pretty eager to join the fight.

    Completely disagree with the 3rd scarecrow encounter. Crane remarks that Arkham Batman at that point had taken enough drive what 20 men mad? Batman in the telltale game was completely taken over by Lady Arkham's drug. He suffered from the effects, about a week into being into the asylum and wasn't at a 100% until he got back to the cave and created a cure. Personally I think at the point in which he's walking in crime alley in the 2nd encounter we'd see an alternate encounter where scarecrow has the opportunity to get the upper hand and kill him but certainly at the 3rd encounter telltale Bruce has shown no ability to compartmentalize and get through a biological weapon.

    I think you're underestimating TT Batman's odds against Bane. Being one of the villains he has prior intel on, Bats would have a rough idea of what to do and it's not as if Arkham Batman fought him strength for strength either. Between his speed and superior batsuit, I think this fight would play out much the same way for TT Batman as it does for Arkham. In fact, I think there's actually a good chance he takes Bane out without sacrificing his car, since he's got the electrodes with him and this Bane has been subdued with electric attacks in the past.
    You might have a point about Ivy, but you also made a point of saying that TT Batman actually neutralizes the Joker early on; which means that Joker would never get to finish his Titan formula nor test it on Ivy in this scenario, so really TT Batman would be fighting regular Ivy sans the Tyranno-plant. I think he'd manage pretty well in that case.

Bane is shown to easily withstand other gadgets, like batarangs, bo.bs, etc. He and Titan thugs are basically immune to electricity, it stuns them but doesn't harm them as shown in Arkham City. And with Scarecrow you gotta remember that the level is just a representation of Batman's willpower overcoming fear, as certain gadgets like his Detective Vision are disabled during the sequences. Thus, it's more about willpower than hiding Skills. I don't see Telltale Batman overcoming enough fear toxin to drive ten men insane. Croc destroys Batman.
