@NikZedika I wouldn't say it is dead yet, but we are definetly in a rough spot. We still have some AAA games that are genuinely good, and a lot of indie games to make up for the trash some other AAA push out.
An underrated boss fight is the final boss in Zelda the minish cap. He has so many forms and is incredibly difficult. Maybe the hardest Zelda boss ever.
Ehhhh. I wouldnt go that far into it. Hardest boss in the franchise in my opinion would probably be thunderblight ganon from botw. Mostly because it requires perfect timing and multiple mechanics to defeat. A ton of players had difficulty in that fight, especially with the lightning pillar section since magnesis was slower than a turtle with 3 broken legs.
I’m so excited for Once Human. Played the hell out of the beta. Easily 200 hours into the beta in just a PvE server. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the world offers when it’s open!
Anyone else exclusively getting the unskipable military-industrial complex ad? I dont pay enough attention to see if they do this every year this time around graduations or just the "special" time we exist in now...but dont fall for it, you dont respawn after a match in the gulag.
Don’t think anyone needs you to tell them that. Kinda sounds like you’re demonizing military service. “Don’t fall for it”. Fall for what? No matter your job in the military, it brings structure and discipline, which is lacking in many peoples lives. Every person I’ve talked to who has served said it was the best decision of their life.

I like really story-driven games like RDR2 and Witcher 3. Combat is fine and important and all but it's the story and ambience that counts. Nothing here that appeals honestly. I'm sure there's a lot more announcements to come though so will wait and see. Hanging for Light No Fire too.
If Lego makes more Horizon machines as sets, I will be buying them. I already have the Tallneck (that came with an itty bitty Watcher) and keep hoping they'll make a Thunderjaw. I'll buy the Lego Horizon game.. and hope it does well enough to get us the other machines as sets. :D

I'd love more 'grounded' games, we've got an oversaturation of Souls-like games with dumb lore and horror stuff everywhere, but there is clearly a market for that. But give us more games like GTA or Mafia or even Assassin's Creed, there is a huge market for that too, just gotta make the damn games.

Sadly Bokeh Games Studio / Keiichiro Toayama confirmed Slitterhead barely left its beta stage almost at the end of last year during their development diary showcase, meaning it is nowhere near polished or ready enough for an actual release due to how short of a timeframe it had to bring it up to par. As far as i understood New World: Aeternum is not exactly the console release but a remaster that is also released on console. Anyone who has the base game and the DLC will automatically get the new Version for free. You could also see it as a big update for the existing game, with which they try to restart the whole game for getting more sales.

I played the early alpha for quittich champions end of last year. Glad to see it's coming out soon and how much has been added and improved on from back when I played. They had a great start then, game felt great. Definitely a learning curve, but so worth learning. Can't wait for the full release
Imagine if Marvel teamed up with Microsoft Flight Simulator and made a VR of being able to fly round the world with the HUD of Ironman and having an AI Jarvis which you could actually talk with through a mic. And having the weapons and a destructive environment. THAT would be an epic game.
Civ VIII is definitely my top pick as well. The community had been speculating about it, but it really was a surprise to me when they announced it like that. I wonder what theme the UI and graphics are going to take this time? It would be cool if it changed with each era, like industrial era has railroad wheels, information era has a look like a circuit board etc... It would give a visual sense of the progress you're making throughout the game.
Far more excited for the Alien VR game. Alien Isolation in VR is one of my top 5 gaming experiences of all time so getting to play an Alien game made from the ground up for VR is going to be amazing.

Phantom Blade Zero combat reminds me of Nioh from what little we've seen so far, which to me is an incredibly good thing.
