I've done a huge amount of testing with my SSG10 Wolverine bolt sniper HPA and have it down to 64dB at 3.3J (.45g). Things that really help: 1) The very end of the silencer must have an exit hole of just over 6mm - smaller the better. I glue 2 layers of duct tape on the end and burn a hole in it when in a lathe. 2) Alternate foam disks between 6mm holes and 10mm holes. About 15mm thick. The foam hole will expand with the burst of air so don't worry about it touching the BB. 3) Dont over-volume the gun. Find the sweet spot on dwell. 4) Bigger the volume of the suppressor the better.
Totally agree with point 3 and 4 - the other points needs more testing :) So far, it would be too risky for me to make a 6mm hole on the small diameter :)
i'd like to point out something. Yes the foam will expand, but you're running your replica at 3.3J. For example, here in italy the legal max is 1J, meaning that the same setup will not work, and the bb will end up hitting the sides of the foam. also, the 6mm hole only works well IF you have a high end replica, because even if the barrel has a slight play it will hit the sides of the foam again, loosing accuracy, speed and range.
Nice test! Could you also give values in LAFmax? LZFmax is the 'raw' decibel based on the actual pressure difference in the air, LAFmax is the pressure difference adjusted for how human ears perceive it. Could you also give an insight in the spectral values? Also, did you try different shapes of baffles? I'm curious as to how these types of baffles compare to the shape of amplifiers, put in backwards.

Why not add fart flap to them and see the difference? I heard its better with the fart flap and it traps the gas. Personally, i would use 2-3 covers. 1 in the end, 1 in the middle and 1 in the first 2 or 3 baffles/foam.
my simple silencer diameter 30mm long 18cm now reach 70db use carpet glasswoll 3mm, inside use mosquito net, bulkhead cardboard 2 front space 5cm hole 15mm, back 8cm hole 20mm, if want more silence use bigger, longer and more room
Noch ne kurze Frage. Habt ihr auch schon mal Bastelfilz probiert zufällig? Damit hatte ich bisher gute erfahrungen gemacht. Da ich aber nun einen Tracer einbauen möchte in meinen Silencer habe ich dann kaum noch Spielraum und möchte aus 3cm Platz soviel wie möglich rausholen. Mir gehts eher um den wirtschaftlichen Aspekt zwischen dem Basotect und dem dicken Filz. Oder habt ihr da eine Einschätzung für mich? Danke euch schonmal und nen schönen Sonntag noch
Hey hallo! Wir hatten noch den Scotbrite-Schwamm getestet, aber der war halt nicht so gut, dass wir ihn nicht in den Est aufnahmen! Denke mit Filz wird sich das da ähnlich verhalten. Aktuell geht nichts über Basotect. Aber bei 3cm Restlänge im Schalli wird es vermutlich egal sein, was du reinbaust, die Schallminderung wird da nicht so grossartig sein.
Ich habe das Gefühl, dass nicht nur die Lautstärke sondern die Tonhöhe viel ausmacht, bei gleicher Lautstärke ist der tiefe Ton wesentlich schlechter wahrzunehmen und der Ursprung schwieriger zu bestimmen.
Exakt! Unserer Tontechniker meint dazu, dass hohe Töne zwar nicht so weit gehen, aber ortbar sind. Tiefe Töne gehen weiter, aber sind nicht ortbar! Danke für deinen Hinweis!
Sehr guter Vergleich zur Veranschauung! Eine Anregung hätte ich aber noch für euch. Ist zwar auf meiner MK23 (Gas) im Gebrauch, aber dürfte vom Prinzip keinen Unterschied in Hinsicht auf HPA machen. Unzwar benutze ich auf meiner MK23 den Sniper Mechanics Hexx Suppressor. Dieser benutzt bei den Füllringen einen Hexagonschnitt anstatt den üblichen Rundschnitt und die Ausschnittgrößen in den Scheiben sind ebenfalls immer im Wechsel (groß, klein, groß, usw.). Wichtig dabei ist, dass man mit dem größeren Ausschnitt am Mündungsausgang anfängt, damit dort schonmal viel Austrittsvolumen gefangen und gedämpft wird! Dies hat bei meiner MK23 dazu geführt, dass sich die Wahrnehmungsentfernung von 8m auf 2m reduziert hat. Sprich: ab 2m ist sie komplett lautlos und garnicht mehr zu hören. Wäre evtl. für euch mal interessant diesen Schnitt zu probieren, wenn ihr die Möglichkeiten habt 😃

Ich habe schon recht viel vom Hexx-Suppressor gehört, aber ich wusste nie, wie der innen aufgebaut ist :) Ich denke, dass die Form eine Rolle spielen kann, wobei ich denke, dass eine runde Form (so wie die BB selbst) besser geeignet ist. Aber testen kann man das ja! Aktuell verwende ich auch zwei "große" Scheiben am Anfang, dann wechsle ich ab zwischen groß und klein. Ich habe übrigens gestern einen weiteren Test gemacht (Fartflap + Reducer Scheiben 8mm): ruclips.net/user/shortsj0FP9YZ9Pik
@@bcas Durch den Hexgonschnitt soll wohl das Klangbild anders sein, da dort der Schall irgendwie anders "verteilt" wird. In wie fern das jetzt funktioniert oder stimmt, weiß ich selbst nicht. Kann nur aus meiner Erfahrung mit meiner MK23 sprechen und dort bewirkt das echt Wunder. Mit Fartflaps habe ich auch schon experimentiert, aber da habe ich das Problem, dass immer die Flugbahn beeinträchtigt wird und das Trefferbild nicht so genau ist.

Ja, davon haben wir auch schon gehört 👍 durch den lasercutter können wir den Innendurchmesser deutlich kleiner gestalten als eine Feder.

You can make foam rings using pipe insulator from hardware stores such as Home Depot or Ace Hardware
