Imagine being stuck with meta progression because you keep failing the claw lmao

Okay so I think there should be cards in the vending machine. But depending on what you have in the machine will determine if the cards last long or not. Plastic runs Will have synergy while metal will rip cards into fluff. Mainly because lots of claw ma machines do have cards in them for tokens.

Collectable cards in the claw machine. Gotta catch em all =p

Think the game is still early and not to expect it to be anywhere near finally complete. Where they go is up to them.

It's EXTREMELY early. But the concept is good. Lots of potential.

The item order could be a perk. Sure it's a big change in gameplay/ tactics, but so is masterclaw

    • @gamingwithjeff

      That's probably a better alternative

    i LOVE this game.
... also please ask your wife to give me her secret to claw games because they are my favorite but I am terrible at them (also there are nowhere near enough arcades with claw games in south florida which makes me sadface)

I've been trying to steal her secrets for years, no idea how she does it lol. Not enough arcades in general =(

I really like this game, super cool idea. How did the real life claw expert (your wife) do playing the game?

    • @gamingwithjeff
      @gamingwithjeff  7 месяцев назад +1

Quite good, she doesn't play roguelikes or deckbuilders so random mechanics were getting her, specifically thorns lol

Claw games are pure luck. i used to have a vending business (and my mate had a claw business), the owner of the claw machine can set it to pay out at a certain rate, exactly like a slot machine, 1 in 50 drops, 1 in 20, etc. So you can put a certain priced prize in there and know exactly what your profit will be by setting how often it will allow a prize to be won. Good times!
(Women are just luckier than men, it's a fact...or maybe she just spends money until she wins, that's the only way to guarantee getting a prize on those things)

This seems super cool while watching somebody else play it, but you mention frustration alot which bothers me. Cause I am constantly frustrated trying to play Slay The Spire. Cause I always feel like I'm not as strong as I wanna be. Like there's a constant disadvantage I can't overcome and that drives me nuts. So if a basic deck builder like that can frustrate me then I imagine this one might be even worse. I don't wanna be frustrated when playing a game. That defeats the purpose.

I think it really depends what you are trying to get it out of it. I play A20 STS and everytime I lost I feel like it's my fault so I try to learn/get better.
With this, it feels like I have less control ( because of the claw gods) so if I lose I'm going to laugh about it more than beat myself up.

I see it being more akin to like Peggle. Totally agree that I'd have a blast watching and infuriate myself playing.

Fun idea but the game is clearly too difficult in my experience
