    I really hope joe Flacco can help AR to lessen his all arm throwing motion. Him relying on his arm strength to make every throw causes those little misses that can change a game.

    • @greenleafnumber70
      @greenleafnumber70 5 месяцев назад +5

      Flacco has stated in the past that he doesn’t get paid to mentor young QBs but maybe he’s changed? Also I think he has good coaching. Is promising but tough to stay healthy with his style.

    • @fanboy50
      @fanboy50 5 месяцев назад +2

      @@greenleafnumber70 Joe also said that when he was in Baltimore, where he'd been drafted, and eventually re-signed to be a starter. It wasn't his job there to train his replacement. And that was a fair stance to take: he had signed his deal there with the understanding that he was the starter.
      I'd imagine he's going to take a different tack in situations, like Indianapolis, where he's explicitly being brought in as an insurance policy, not a starter. Plus even if he's not there specifically to mentor Richardson, a young QB can still learn a lot just from talking to and watching a veteran go about their business. Especially one who's been as successful as Flacco.

      As opposed to getting a reliable but not elite Kirk Cousins or Dak Prescott that never make it to a SuperBowl anyways?
      Andrew Luck and Peyton Manning were massive outliers too. (Obviously much, much safer prospects, but you're betting on them being outstanding if they work)
      And the reality is that he was QB3, the only other QB they could've taken was Levis.

    • @Flintstones74
      @Flintstones74 5 месяцев назад +7

      Gotta remember, josh allen didnt start off very accurate either, i believe both his rookie and sophmore season he completed less than 60% of his passes. It changed when he got a real #1 WR in Diggs. AR5 has possibly 2 #1 WRs in Pitt and possibly AD. I believe once Richardson gets more in game reps, he'll be special...maybe not mahomes special (who can live up to that!?!?!) But a top 5 QB in the league? Definitely. Buddy just has to stay on the field and keep improving his accuracy. Colts have a great team around him

      the other thing is he didn't get enough to play time in college but he's a very humble player that works hard. He needs to learn to slide and to keep working at his throws. The evaluation on Richardson is truly a tbd. From the film there are flashes and inconsistencies both of which were to be expected. His Mechanics are clean it’s just about repetitions which he hasn’t had enough of. We haven’t seen the colts all on the field together either. Biggest thing from AR is the fact that he talks about wanting to be a QB and learning how to execute from the pocket. And as far as the speed not translating, fields had the same issue year 1 looked kinda slow out there, AR likely will have the same jump speed wise.

      I definitely do. He has elite arm talent and athleticism, and best of all he has very good pocket presence. If he got flustered, didn't maneuver well, took horrible sacks, I'd say you are right and he should've been a lower pick, but that's not the case. Aaron Donald was having problems finishing sacks on him in the Rams game. He has a coach that has developed Jalen Hurts and Justin Herbert, and had success running an offense built around Jalen Hurts running ability. The things you can't improve AR has and the things you can improve is what he needs to improve in.

    He has outstanding abilities, just does not have what it takes to be a top 10 QB any given year. Sure he will have some games where he will tourch the defence all over the place, but he will have games where he has a pick in the first quater and mentally quits on himself.

    He's going to struggle this year. We see this time and time again. Coach does a great job showcasing the strengths of a player (which they should). NFL DC get some film and shut that down.
    He doesn't have much film, so he may have a really good second year. He might also throw a bunch of picks. He was drafted on potential, so a poor to mediocre year doesn't mean he won't be good to great.

    Literally no one is talking about AR and the Colts, so I'm trying to figure out how the hype is "out of control" Small market club with small market coverage. All I see is how skeptical everyone is about his health and if he can stay healthy. Zero hype for my dude, sadly. Cite exactly who is hyping the Colts other than Colts fans. The rest of your video wasn't egregious, but the multiple hype comments just piss me off bc I've been watching every other quarterback in the league get looked at except Colts. Finally a feature on Richardson and it's "he's overhyped" FOH

      Mina Kimes is literally the only person not in Colts media specifically that I've heard hyping Anthony Richardson since the surgery.
      Nick Wright and Cowherd for example have been open about thinking AR might be really good, but since the injury, they've been very quiet about him when talking qbs.
      I think most people just want to wait and see if he can stay healthy before jumping on either side of the bandwagon.
      Maybe he's just talking about other RUclips channels? Because sports media def not filled with anyone talking much about Richardson, let alone overhyping him.

      I mean, idk if you play fantasy football, but all those guys have AR5 as a top 4 QB pick. The fantasy crowd LOVES him...probably because in his 3.5 games he played last year he was QB2 overall. So, lots of hype around him.
      If you arent in the fantasy football crowd, i can see your point
