Is God telling you, "I will move slowly but surely"? In today's video, we're doing an Exodus 23 Bible study which covers the part of the Israelites' wilderness journey where God prepares to bring them into the Promised Land. This story so clearly shows us that there is purpose in the delay and if God is making you wait, Him doing so is strategic. Exodus 23 also gives us practical wisdom on what God is calling us to do while we wait. God will move slowly but surely, little by little...but He won't stop until His work is done.

“I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild beasts multiply against you. Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and possess the land. ” | Exodus 23:29-30
I think sometimes idols of comfort and ease keep me from making the best use of the wait, or just time in general. But God has been showing me that unless I surrender those idols, than the best He is calling me to is what ultimately gets sacrificed. It’s easy to choose what’s easy in the moment, but choosing what’s hard in the moment is what leads to the true life God wants to lead us into. 🤍
The idol of social media keeps driving me away from God.
It is "the hard and necessary "in what I am to do while waiting. That was the prompting in prayer I received.

I cried to God last night begging for the things he promised me and asked why it is taking so long, and I'm 1000% sure this is His expanded answer to me.
I feel like he was telling me this just moments ago. I need to focus on recovery and making sure every aspect of my life is healthy before I can handle the blessings I’m praying for🥹
I feel like the idols of idleness and distraction are huge contenders in this current waiting season I’m in. I just graduated med school but moved cities and am current jobless. I’m a very goal driven person so when I feel like my goal is stalled I often let myself drift off into things like TV/gaming instead of getting in the Word. Also I feel like unless I have a bunch of things to multitask I just end up doing nothing so it piles up and I can feel like I did a lot (especially things like housework that seems so menial at times). The thing I believe God is trying to teach me is that working on one small thing to perfection is more important to Him than me spreading myself thin and doing 100 “big” things in a superficial manner.
I want to start surrendering that feeling of chasing grandeur and control by switching my screen time to Bible reading so I can fix my heart posture into one of a daughter again instead of a hired-hand and also praying through the dull moments so that they can be imbued with meaning and fullness simply by my doing them with God.
You just described my situation perfectly. 🥲I felt like I couldn’t describe it or none of my friends would know exactly what I’m talking about.

I think in the modern age, we see people everywhere (online) who seem to get instant results and never seem to wait long at all. It is all an illusion that tricks us. We've been waiting for someone to buy our house. We want to use the money from the sale to serve the Lord. We used our savings to buy a huge (old) building and land. We are broke now until we can sell this house. I pray several times a day but nothing has happened. I'm still holding on to hope. But it is hard.
JESUS WILL HELP YOU, DON'T WORRY FRIEND.

Yes, biblical stories often take years and years of waiting, when we are used to instant results and want them. But God is never too late, never. I have been struggling with this alot. His ways are perfect.

Oh, I so needed this encouragement today. Waiting is such a challenge for me. God has worked to move mountains in my life the last 4 years and I have seen his faithfulness and goodness during this time...now as I have completed school and have a job lined up, impatience has skyrocketed. Waiting for the ability to schedule boards so that I can do what He has called me to do...I didn't understand why...until today...Thank you for being obedient!
Seeing that there is purpose in this time of waiting...helps me breathe a sigh of relief. Resting in His timing!

This definitely spoke to me. God is in the process of healing a part of my heart that has been hidden away for a long time, it deals with shame. When I was on a walk this morning I heard Him telling me to wait when I wanted to start texting this cute guy I met. And then I got home and opened youtube and this video started playing on its own. This healing process is very painful and goes far back in my history, so it makes a lot of sense why God would take it in increments. Thank you Holy Spirit for this biblical answer🙏 The image of clearing the land slowly so it doesn't get taken over by something else than what God wants is so beautiful ❤

Hi Kaci...After over 2 years of losing my son and grandchildren to a falling out that sources from his wife, how do I know its Gods promise that I will have them back in my life again and that our family will be whole again??? I try every day to stay strong and wait upon the Lord with confidence, but I always have the thought, "what if that isn't his plan for me?" It scares me. I love my son and grandchildren so much and it is all that I think about. Please pray for us!

I'm praying for you. I have a similar situation in my family thats gone on for many years but I don't believe it's God's will for families to be divided so we must believe that however long it takes God will come through in His perfect timing. Keep praying.

Sometimes, even though we believe, it's still difficult not to get impatient. I've been trying to find a job for almost a year and it's still nothing. I can't get anything and I'm just tired. I pray and pray but nothing changes

The enemy will never stop. He is a beast and doesn’t want to lose control, but there is hope- Jesus, is our hope! You ask for help? Prayer and studying the Word. Be honest in your prayers. I’ll be praying for you, do not lose faith. We will fight many battles, dear friend in Christ. Reach out to your church (maybe your pastor) and ask them to pray for you. It’s a privilege to pray for you. Remember the enemy will not stop but we cannot fall for the lies!❤

Lord please get rid of the enemy's monitoring spirits.
Just don't give them any information by being careful who you share information with and pray silently in your mind/heart/spirit so only God hears and knows if you have to.

How do people know what God has promised for their lives? I would love to have a sense of this for my life specifically, not just the promises in the Bible, so that I can relax and wait for those things to happen. It’s the uncertainty that makes me anxious and cling to my idols
I actually have the exact same question. I only have a vague idea of what the 'big promise' is for my life, but it was from so so long ago. I think prayer about it would be the clear answer, but also it's not uncommon for dreams and promises to "die out" for a season, while God has us focus on growth and not get consumed by the promise, the when the where and the how, etc. I'm not sure if this helped you or not. When you wait declare in faith for you and all the world and pray. I will not even speak about reading the bible helps to focus your mind in the lord less in the world and in that way be less to none anxious. Give you insight to the truth too.

Hi Kaci, I have a question.What if 95% percent of your friends and family approve but one of them has their reservations. Is it a red flag. My dad thinks Justin is a great man for me, and I told him he proposed and that we have a strategy for our finances. I have also told him that we are doing Pre-marital counseling but when I told him I'm engaged he didn't seem too excited. Should i be concerned? Also my dad isn’t a believer.

How do I say this without "potentially" offending someone? Let's try, I don't believe in invisible men. If you do, we're led to believe in some fairly preposterous scenarios as human beings. No offense. Or does your faith in the invisible man, create something which removes connection possibilities, romantically.
God doesn't tell me anything. I also don't trust the whole "he speaks through other people." I don't trust anyone, especially women so that wouldnt work for me. I dont wait for marriage or kids because its pointless and im too old now. Abraham and sarah are not an encouraging example.
