I believe it was the Barton Barracks was where I attended BNOC back in the early 80's. I absolutely love RUclips for a platform where I can visit the different places I went to and get glimpses of my past. I did a tour in Augsburg 1976-78 and back again to Bamberg 81-83. Thanks for the tour, Brother.
Yes are correct that is Barton Barracks as it is today and still changing.
Also there was a NCO ACADEMY on Katterbach Kaserne by main gate, could have been that place.
Thanks for the memory blast. I was stationed at Barton from 79 to 82. So many memories
Welcome my friend, I was stationed at Bleidorn Kaserne 80 to 85. That's around your time as well.
@@MyLifeMyTravelsMyAdventures Thank you. We used to go down to the Bleidorn EM club. Loved my time in Ansbach. I worked at a TAC site which was right next to where Shipton is now.
@@woodie1096 yes I spent many nights at Bleidorn Club myself.
Also I'll do a video showing Bleidorn Kaserne and how it has changed.
Wow I was stationed at Katterbach from 82 to 85 . A lot of memories of Ansbach.
Raised in Ansbach. Soldier’s Lake back in the 80’s…. Looked nothing like this. There was no Urlas. We’d go 4-wheelin’ or would stay out all night by the lake. I miss the old days. We had so much fun. I went to school there on Barton Kaserne. Fifth and 6th grade 1978-1979.
Thanks and i was there too at that time and remember that. Yes the old place has changed a lot.
I started at Barton January of '79. 4th grade, Mr O'Donnell.
It's sad to say that is all closed now and a new unit has taken over Barton Barracks. The school is closed.
I lived in Ansbach from 1972-1980 until age 10 and I don't remember Soldiers Lake looking like this either...they really did a nice number on it.
@michaelbruce6190 Yes it really looks nice now, like a park.
So many good memories were made at the Lake House. Thanks my man!
Yes it was the place to meet, talk, and relax.
Do you know why there is a big parking lot there? When I got there in 1977 it was full of RATT rigs of the 141st Signal Battalion.
That all changed it is now a parking lot for employees and customers. The Units are gone.
I played so much basketball in that gym on Barton. From 2005-2009
I worked m on Barton with the PSB until we moved in 2004.
Your old bldgs were A Battery of 2/57th and HHB 2/57th waaay back
And most of the other bldgs. belonged to the 141st Signal
That is correct!
*Black Man* in the village says HI..... start cranking out those videos...
Roger that! I will, just moved to Germany so trying to get settle. But keep watching there is more to come.
@@MyLifeMyTravelsMyAdventures ok... See them soon... I loved Germany
