    How long have the boat was been out of water was it expensive to lift it for her size and how that whole process work

      We only had it out of the water for about three days, generally the weight of the boat won't effect the cost of the lift. So long as it's not too heavy too lift. Hard to gauge the cost of the lift as it's usually bundled in with other jobs. But that said I know of marinas where they charged as little as €100 lift out and the same back in. Most marinas would be €150 each way and some will charge more if they feel they can get away with it. Good to shop around for these things and try to strike a deal.

    i couldnt hear you with the background noise, were you talking about painting the anodes???
    i dont know much but i do know that the sea shield anodes have "do not paint" cast right into them.

      pretty sure he was only painting the hull around the weld on the inside and outside but not the anode.

    Hello there, I have a steel boat and I was wondering when was the last time you took the boat out of the water and changed the anodes? Cheers

      Hi Charlotte, I change the anodes about every 5-6 years. But if I go onto coastal water for any time I'd I check them to see if they need to be changed sooner. Best of luck with your boat ;-)

    What do anodes do what I mean is why are they on the boat

    • @DriftwoodBoatBlog
      @DriftwoodBoatBlog  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Kathleen, they are a sacrificial corrosive which means that they will corrode away and in doing so the harder steel of the boat won't rust. Bit hard to explain but that's basically it!

    I'd say, if you got the new fake wooden vinyl it would look great on Driftwoods decks. She looks in great shape.

      She's not that clean really, if you look closely! I'd be worried about water getting trapped beneath the vinyl and rusting away out of sight.
