What a joy to start the day with a cup of coffee listening to you, Gaynor, chatting away about your several projects. It‘s like we all knew you personally 😊. Thanks!
You always approach everything you do with such unbridled enthusiasm, Gaynor, and there is always much to inspire me - whether your subject matter, your style, your sewing ideas, colours, using a limited palette (I'm discovering the joy of this too - as well as the variety of colour you can mix just using the 3 primary colours plus black and white). Lovely to see the progress on the cabin!
I know it is art weekly but it was therapeutic to see your jumble during remodel. I’ve been trying to live in my mess during my remodel and it has me quite stressed out. Luckily I’m in the home stretch and should be able to start deep cleaning and moving back in this weekend. I just love the window extension on the cabin! That is going to be so lovely to create in! I’ll admit I’m envious, good thing I can enjoy it vicariously through your weekly videos. The lady in red feels full of joy and movement. She makes me happy. Craig is so good at frames, what a treat. Have a great week. TFS
Good morning from Boston, Gaynor! Thank you again for a fun Thursday morning video. The noise from your cabin reno did not bother me. It just made me feel like I was there experiencing The excitement of it. It's going to be fabulous when it's done! All that natural light - wow! I love the varied pieces you are working on and also your sewing adventures.
Love it all. Thanks for the catch up. Love how your projects are on going. Takes off the pressure. Love the patches. I just bought a Jean jacket at a thrift store and wanted to decorate it with stitches. Fun.
Just love your energy, Gaynor. How you can juggle so many different projects.... and make them all so varied yet cohesive. My Thursday morning shot of inspiration! The figure behind you with the billowing skirt is gorgeous. So many exciting projects.... Hope you have a lovely week. Already looking forward to next Thursday ❤
It's quite interesting to note that mixing combinations of the limited color pallette together adds cohesiveness to the piece. Very soothing to look at.
😁I love the denim patches on the sweater! I love reusing material! My grandmother used clothing that my mom and her siblings outgrew to make beautiful quilts. Back then people wasted nothing! I made a denim pillow from an old pair of jeans just for fun and it ended being a wedding gift for my friends son. 🌻🚜They had a back yard wedding with hay bales and a tractor pulling them from the site. Since I embroidered horses, cowboy hats and a barn with a lasso rope on it fit PERFECTLY as a gift! Maybe you could add a bit of embroidery to your stars!! Thank you for sharing your video today! Love to you and your family from Texas! Lisa
You are making great progress on your building. I am amazed that you can work with all the building noises around you. It is interesting to see you work on 3 similar pieces at the same time.
That girl in the meadow with the wild pink dress!!! I absolutely love it!!! Ive never been into abstract art, but seeing yours is so interesting and inspiring. It looks easy but it is not lol! love your channel
Hello Gaynor. How on earth do you manage to stay so creative on such a continual basis? Your energy is amazing. Can’t wait to see the ongoing studio alterations. Have a lovely week.💐
Oh I just love using my geli plate and brayer to get started! And yes I’ll take you up on the challenge, limited color pallet, series as I have a few canvases to paint over. Love your work and so relatable to in the way I think and process!💗😍🔥🎨🙏
I love your big blue star! Pure inspiration and spontaneous creativity from you this week from beginning to end, plus a few Rocket growls and views. Mightily impressive, painting with a roller and with a metal scraping tool! Very nice work on those boards, mixing with a palette knife straight onto your picture. 10 out of 10.
Gaynor you are fearless, full of enthusiasm and good ideas. So happy to see an update on the cabin. I really am truly inspired every week. I SO look forward to Thursday and sharing a lovely catch up with you. Thank you so much.
It is going to be a gorgeous studio. Love your video! It always makes me happy to see a cluttered studio, mine is a bit cluttered no matter how many times I try to organize it!!
Loving your videos, as always, Gaynor. Such a bright spot in my week. It’s infectious and inspirational to see you go between your various projects. And your delight when a new idea pops in just makes me smile. 🥰
My comment was lost. I just love the music. Here in Oz it's blazing hot but we have had a lot of rain. I'm still creating my " disasters" and then spending frantic hours trying to get them right. I'm nostalgic for Tonbridge every time I see you.
Absolutely love that large woman in the pink dress you’re working on - looks finished to me!! Please do more like that. Your enthusiasm is so much fun. I so enjoy my coffee with your videos on Thursday. Thanks as always.
Your patched jumper has solved my problem. Last year I fell backwards on the kitchen floor and in trying to save myself I broke my arm and wrist, doctors fixed that but the hole in my favourite, favourite shirt still awaits Dr Dee. I was going to cut the sleeves off but I think I’ll try your patching. Love love love the yellow, green black and white combo and the ladies are lovely too so this has been such an inspirational video. Thank you so much for your generosity. 💕
Hello Gaynor..yes December is upon us!Love your little twined decorations!Perfect to frame your artworks! Thanks for the triple canvas idea and love it when the gel plate comes out!!I was wondering as your such a multitalented Wonder Woman 😁have you done any Lino cutting?great for mark making or printing actual pictures such as florals etc…I adore the lady in the pink amongst the greenery..I hope you don’t change that one lol!!Well not to much!!😂Your starry starry night jumper is great as I said you are so multitalented!!The cabin looks wonderful and light!!Can’t wait for the grand opening!Have a great week!!❤
Just lovely to spend time again with you. When you moved to the daisies I thought of the line in 'You've got mail' Kathleen Kelly I believe, who said, 'Daisies are the friendliest flowers'. Onto your jumper and I thought' some of my jumpers have holes in them... Onto the wreaths, and some time ago I threaded some liberty print strips, making bows, into a very bushy wreath. I have a lliberty lawn nest on my wall which I really love as it was the first creative thing I had done in a long while... and while I would have liked flora and feathers for my creation, the fabric really does have a place and charm here in my home. Thank you for another delightful video.
Great video as always Gaynor, your new extra studio space is going to be such a wonderful addition for you. I love the painting of the lady in the big skirt it made me think of the ballet dancers by Robert Heindel, you may know of him but if not have a peek if you have time. Wendy x
Oooh! The cabin is looking fantastic, loving all the windows! Stars on your jumper are totally appropriate for the Lovely ‘Starry’ super smashing Gaynor, I loved that painting of the lady in the red dress fabulous. Another wonderful video! I really like the idea of sewing patches on old sweaters! Also like the idea of working on several panels at once. I think that would help me to not overthink what I’m doing every time I pick up my brushes!😊
Is that a Gaynor signature flower turned round and re-purposed as the skirt of your garden lady? Integrating your figure as integral to the garden is just brilliant. So many of we gardeners are quite united in spirit with our gardens it is very engaging to see this unity as a beautiful painting 💚
Good idea, 2 colors and black/ white. Like seeing the sewing machine, nx textile art, ? incorporated onto canvas... mixed media style. Ann, Florida fan
