I agree being a single parent and having sole responsibility is difficult. The one thing that unexpectedly got me in my feelings is the fact that I do not have my child’s father to share the little things with. You know that moment your child does something extra special that would only warm a parents heart and make you even shed a tear or two… yea no one else including grandparents will have the same reaction a parent would. I hate that I missed out on that shared experience as well as my child. It may sound crazy but parents who get it, get it.
Omg this!!! Like no one to send a outfit idea to or just confide in about the little details that’ll be equally excited as you. It is lonely sometimes but it’s peaceful.
I will be 39 in March and my son will be 19 in August and he was diagnosed with a developmental delay at the age of 3. He is a twin and was not speaking or responding, so much so that we thought he had a hearing impairment but turns out he was just ignoring tf outta us 😂 Anyway, I say all of that to say he graduated high school summa cum laude, he’s currently in college and received a presidential scholarship for college. I am a firm believer in “a diagnosis doesn’t define the person”. My son is thriving and has a lot lined up for himself. Our kids are amazing and can do whatever they set their minds to 💜✨
This video really warmed my heart as a former behavioral therapist working with Autistic children. They are amazing and so special, and it’s even more amazing to have parents accept and support their kids and give them the access to more resources. It’s been so cool to watch you and Jax grow over these years. You are all the way in ya bag Jaelah, glad to be apart of Majette Gang 🤎
I am 50 years old, and I run my own family childcare and I absolutely LOVE how you raise Jaxson. You are an awesome mom and I love your channel. I love serving clients like you. Stay as you are; God will continue to guide and protect you both💜💕🙏🏿
I love that the moment you said honor your baby in the same breath Jax asked for Pasta and you went straight for the pot. I know you were talking about their process but it’s also honoring your child on the simple things like what they want to eat. Honoring every part of him is amazing and you put it into practice everyday. Great Job Mom.
Yes mom you’re your child’s biggest advocate My 13yr old son an 4 yr old Daughter both Have Autism/ADHD and having them in Speech, Occupational therapy has helped alot, were still on the list for ABA therapy the list are longer here in Carolina. Being a single mom I’ve to have ALOT of patience… #Jaelah #Jax🤎🤎
I completely agree my daughter is two years old and speech delayed - I'm also a single mom and I be feeling like I'm not doing enough . Appreciate you speaking on this 💖
This spoke to me so much as a mother. My son just turned 5, and he didn't start talking until i started working from home when he was 2 1/2. I've had so many fears about his development. His pre-school teacher told me a lot of children born around c19 times have not been as socialized and are having speech delays. Your blog just made me know I need to trust the process, and his development is his own. Thank you for talking about this ❤️ .
The advice that you gave with regards to Jax and his development is great advice for all parents. My son is “delayed” compared to a lot of these milestone charts and my mom has to keep telling me the same thing, “He is his own person, and he’s going to grasp things in his own time. Allow him the opportunity to grow at his own speed”. This was just what I needed to hear.
Lord this vlog made me BAWL but thank you so much for this. The transparency, the love, the reassurance, the inclusiveness... I've been feeling so lonely in this journey with my daughter and this helped so much. Jax reminds me so much of my Laya and the way you handle this whole situation is so empowering to me. Thank you for letting me see that I'm not alone and that its all gonna work itself out. These babies are just so sweet, smart, loving, and energetic; makes you wanna just protect them from the whole world and anybody who might not understand them. I really can't explain to you how bad I needed this right now. Thank you to you and Jax for letting us be apart of your JOURNEY ❤❤ Sending nothing but love and prosperity, GOD GOT US SIS 🤞
I remember you had a video a long time ago and you went to the park or something and I could just tell you had a heavy weight on your shoulders. Jax is blessed to have you as a Mom because only you can understand him and what he needs. God picked you for a reason because he knew that you would be an amazing mother! You got this! And thank you for sharing because someone needed to hear that.
Always advocate for your baby . I work in ABA and having parents who are understanding and receptive to our knowledge helps so much. I love the kiddos I work with
Sending extra love mama! Jax has the same signs as my nephew. My nephew is VERY high functioning and the average person would never know he is on the spectrum, but he definitely had signs (not responding to people, saying random phrases, and speech delay). He is so intelligent and actually in the high honors classes. Jax has a great mom and did the right thing for seeking out resources! He chose you for a reason. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing. More people need to see it
Congratulations to your nephew. Hr sounds like my son. He is doing his high school classes through the college here. These babies will change the world.
Jay, I needed this talk about Autism. 😢I’m a mom who has 4 year old who doesn’t talk. I hope he doesn’t have Autism, but we’re getting him tested soon. This did my heart ❤️ a world 🌎 of good. Love y’all! Stay blessed 😇
My son is 4 with autism we started early in therapy at 2 he has made so much progress with therapy. You are doing good mamma he still young be his advocate and he will be fine!!!
Thank you for talking about the mom feelings around your baby being “behind”.. it’s really not easy navigating them especially when you feel like you’re by yourself w it all. & you’re in your bag for sure right now. the ‘jumpin jumpin’ edit was hard af
Moms definitely know and have to be the biggest advocates for our babies. Love that you’re advocating for Jax and learning him for him! You’re doing great Jae 🫶🏾♥️
This feels like deja vu for me! My son was hitting all his milestones until the age of 9 months then started to go backwards. His pediatrician told me not to worry. As he got older I noticed he wasn’t speaking ( we never did baby talk I always spoke to him regular) I got him a speak therapist at the age of 3 he is currently 5 and speaking in complete sentences saying his numbers colors and all. I still have ever intention to get evaluated even tho he has made all this progress he still is missing certain “markers” that concern. This truly warms my heart to see that young mothers aren’t just sweeping out concerns for our children under the rug! You Go momma 🎉❤
Jaleah use those superpowers girl. I'm so proud of you. My son is doing his 8th grade community service project on Autism: Advocacy, Acceptance and Awareness. He has ASD. Jax and my son will definitely be the ones to change to world. Keep doing what you need to do for your baby.
Since 2016 I been saying Jaelah and I gotta be connected spiritually and you saying you are neurodivergent connects the dots for me! Im also neurodivergent and Ive been in love with your content since Tyrone and Japan! 😭 I dont really think there was a point to this comment other than to say I love you Jaelah and I relate to you sooo much! keep being you!!🫶🏾
Jaelah, This vlog was everything, sis. You had me dying laughing, made me cry, taught me something, and had me lit with the music selections🔥😂. Thank you so much for being so open and real with your audience. I have been watching you for years now, and Majette Mondays and your random vlogs have brought me so much joy over the years. Watching your journey has been truly inspiring and through it all, you are true to who you are. I love that for you! Keep being an advocate for Jax, you are clearly a PHENOMENAL mommy. I’m so happy for you ❤❤❤
I just love that you're advocating for your son, not in denial and doing what's necessary to set him up for success. Unfortunately, that's not the norm. Praying for grace, strength and understanding throughout your process!!
@@JaelahMajette I agree. This a cruel world, but with you as his advocate he will alright! Get him any and everything he qualifies for. As a previous school social work, emergency room social worker and now Therapist...our kids need all the advocacy they can get. Be gentle with yourself as you go through this new territory and don't allow anyone to rush your family ♥️
I love that! Always advocate for your babies! Working in ABA opened my eyes to so many other possibilities with mental health. Please keep us updated on the process. You’re doing good momma ❤
I love the way you broke down the situation with Jax. My son has a speech delay and suspected Autism and it took me a little bit to process that…. And I’m still processing it. I love everything you said girl!! I really needed to hear this!
Take Jax to a child Neurologist or child Psychologist for an evaluation. They'll definitely hear your concerns and diagnosis if necessary and you can go from there with course of treatment such as early intervention ABA therapy.
Keep getting your baby evaluated. I was told that nothing was wrong with my son because he could draw a stick figure , count to 10 and say his alphabet. He was 4 at the time. I won’t go through all the things we worked through , he was diagnosed at 30 years old with Autism. He is 37 and high functioning. He still has some issues but GOD…
Girl fr like I love working with children that are not considered “normal”. It’s crazy how they are capable of doing so much but society has formed a negative stigma. I use to work in child care and always would be upset at the parents when they would deny the help, but I learned that it’s really a process for y’all and I have to respect that. But yea I will continue to advocate and educate others !!!
It’s a cycle! Cause ppl treat it like it’s some horrible reality, of course parents are gonna deny it. But it’s very on brand because being misunderstood is normal in the neurodivergent community 🫶🏾
I haven’t watched your videos in so long bcz life been life-ing but when Jax was younger, he presented the same symptoms as my little cousin and I always felt like he was Autistic but I never wanted to comment bcz I just felt like it would have crossed a boundary or cause parental panic. I’m so glad that you are open and aware of Jax’s differences so that he can get the best of care ❤️ a lot of ppl really can’t do that.
As the oldest of three, my youngest brother is autistic and he is my world. My family fights for him, advocates for him, not only within health/medical spaces but even culturally bc the Nigerian culture isn’t really educated when it comes to neurodivergent diagnoses. He has also taught us so much about patience, empathy, sympathy, and the importance of communication. I’m very excited for you along this journey bc you will learn so much about him and you’ll see Jax’s heart for what it is like in its purest form bc I believe that all who are diagnosed with autism are blessed with the show the world their heart 🫶🏾🤍
This generation will end the stigma of Autism 🧩 we will forever be their biggest advocate! Keep fighting and never let up! From one Autism mama to another ❤
Can I just say you and all the other mothers in this day and age do such a good job at advocating for your children! It is amazing. If I could think back to the 90s and some of the children who may have been on the spectrum were not treated as such and were treated a bit more harsh when they really should have been given grace and received treatment. However, it's a new day and age and it's just so beautiful to see and many blessings to you and Jack
Love this!! My son also has a speech delay and is in speech therapy and is doing soooo much better. You most definitely have to advocate for your kids.
You are a great Mom! And Jax is so lucky to have you in his corner. Our situations are very similar and I worried about my son, who also had a lot of issues when he was younger. He is now 23 years old, healthy, happy and doing amazing in life! God is GOOD!!!
I love your transparency and vulnerability, I can definitely relate being a neurodivergent person with ADHD and I love that you are supporting and advocating for Jax. I’m so grateful that I had my Mom to advocate for me, I know that Jax will appreciate you!🤍
Omg your rant about autism brought me to tears. Feeling exactly the same way and my daughter is only 1 1/2 . Hearing this was everything for me tonight. Thank you for always sharing ❤❤
I’m wrapping up my masters in school counseling right now and interning in an elementary school. Thank you so much for sharing this on your platform. It’s so necessary to be your child’s biggest advocate and take advantage of all the resources available to them. This is one of many reasons you’re my favorite. Also, so glad you and Jax are safe considering how that police chase ended.
Ayeee 💃🏿 You’re editing is immaculate. Love love loved that nail salon transition from you jamming in the car to the actual song. P.S. You also think of the best mommy + son date nights. Love your bond with Jax
Jaelah why you got me crying over here, i loved the whole talk about the babies! I agree 💯 . Ive had my own experience w/ not trying to compare my son to other children and let him be HIM! love you vulnerability.
My son just turned 3 and they wanted him to go to an elementary school as well! I feel the same way, I don’t want him to go and he does what he wants on his time! I so appreciate this message and explanation you gave thank I needed it! ❤❤
Thank you so much for this video! It happened at the right time. They want my son to have an IEP and I was worried about it hoping he wouldn’t get treated unfairly but thank you so much for this video and the comments! It helped me a lot! It’s soo difficult being a single parent. I definitely needed to hear this!
Im so happy youre talking about this on your platform. These babies are smarter than most adults lol like you said jax probably dont be wanting to be bothered with some people. I love that you advocate for your baby as you should!! ❤
I was told i had adhd as a child. i didn’t discover i had autism until i turned 30. my son is 8 and im currently in the process of getting hin diagnosed with both adhd and autism. i always knew he had the symptoms, even my parents noticed. yet these doctors are a pain when it comes to being heard. thank you talking about this ❤
I've noticed that he was more than likely on the spectrum for a long time. I am so glad that you've delt with your qualms/hesitations about getting him assessed so that you can do all that you can continue to support his growth, as of course you already do. Great job. Love it!
The most important thing to know about autistic children is they all have a special gift. My son is autistic and considered “high functioning” he likes his own space, a routine, and peace and quiet. He is VERY SMART and verbal lol. Jax seems to be high functioning or high on the spectrum as well. He wl be fine.
OMGOODNESS!!!! The 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that burst out when you realized your camera was facing your air fryer!!! Jaelah, you & Jax keep me smiling... from your parenting to his growth... Stay Blessed & Positive, Sis! Your wittiness is Always 💯
My skin started doing the same. Start exfoliating every day using a loofah or sponge. No matter what i used, my skin wasn't absorbing it completely, and the moisture wasn't locked in. I promise your skin will feel softer and hold moisture better.
I am loving the vlogs especially this one! I always appreciated your transparency. ❤❤ P.S can we bring the storytimes to YT for the girlies that don’t have insta 🙏🏾
i work with kiddos with autism & other comorbidities. i absolutely love them and although it may be hard sometimes, the progress made is always amazing to see. i can’t wait to see my clients tomorrow 🥹🫶🏽
Baybee can we take a moment to appreciate two muhluvin thangs JAE sanging and it going straight to beat so flawlessly…you HAVE to keep that style soo fye!!! And secondly that transparent moment with Jax you go mamma!!
Jaelah....I love you. Your story with your son is almost identical to mine. Right down to getting ignored by the doctors! I knew something was going on with my son from the time he was an infant and the fact that i was getting ignored pissed me off! He's almost 7 now and we are still on our journey. He's nonverbal so I am his voice and I DON'T PLAY ABOUT HIM. And we're not going to go into the bs with his trash dad. I've gotten so much info thrown at me, that I get anxiety. I cry a lot but I smile more because that little boy is such a light! May the Creator continue to bless you all and guide you. You're not alone and I know sometimes it may feel like it, but there's a whole army of black autism moms 🧩❤🧡💛💚💙💜🧩
I usually just watch the video and read the comments, but this one really resonated with me. I have to do the same thing with my dad. He's always been a little self centered, but it's gotten more obvious the older I get. I don't allow just anyone in my space. I won't allow someone to drain my energy just because they're family. I relate to this so much because I have learned to be okay with taking a break from certain people. You can't have access to me if you're energy is off. I work at an elementary school and I encounter the autistic children often, some high on the spectrum, some not. Some delayed some not, every child is different. When given the right tools, there's nothing he can't do. I applaud you for advocating for your child. You're such a great mom, and he's going to appreciate all you do for him when he's older.
Girl you be making Hampton seem so fun and city like I couldn’t wait to leave when I went to school there 😭 I’m glad to have rediscovered you I missed your vids💕💕
When you talked about Jax and the support and understanding you have for him is amazing. I resonated so much thinking about my 2 year old son and that I don’t check every box on the paper, but you got me saying f them boxes I’ll get him the right help and he will be ok.
I needed to hear this. I talk to my son's father about his learning development, especially when it comes to his speaking. I got advice from another professional to see if he may be on the spectrum. It was scary at first and I cried about it. I am becoming more open to the outcome and advocating for my baby to get the correct resource and not rush his process.
I'm a special ed and general ed teacher. Take whatever paperwork you get from testing and take it to his school so that he can be evaluated for resources. The IEP team and you will determine which resources will best fit him. Stay strong and advocate for your baby.
This was a great Vlog! I am a single mom also with children that have special needs (Sensory processing disorder to name one) n I go thru so many stages of feeling like I’m trying to get them all the resources I can n also feeling like I’m not doing enough. I’m so glad you are advocating for your cutie pie ❤
Bravo to you and all the parents guardians grandparents etc who are raising children with special needs. Children in general l. Wlove & appreciate y'all. Blessings to grace & mercy.

Also, so glad you and Jax are safe considering how that police chase ended.
jax is so lucky to have you and im so glad that you're sharing this type of stuff regarding neurodivergency on your platform bc i relate so much
Ayeee 💃🏿 You’re editing is immaculate. Love love loved that nail salon transition from you jamming in the car to the actual song. P.S. You also think of the best mommy + son date nights. Love your bond with Jax
Jaelah why you got me crying over here, i loved the whole talk about the babies! I agree 💯 . Ive had my own experience w/ not trying to compare my son to other children and let him be HIM! love you vulnerability.
because their world is 10x better than this one
ty babe 🥹🫶🏾
My son just turned 3 and they wanted him to go to an elementary school as well! I feel the same way, I don’t want him to go and he does what he wants on his time! I so appreciate this message and explanation you gave thank I needed it! ❤❤
Thank you so much for this video! It happened at the right time. They want my son to have an IEP and I was worried about it hoping he wouldn’t get treated unfairly but thank you so much for this video and the comments! It helped me a lot! It’s soo difficult being a single parent. I definitely needed to hear this!
Try to get a 504 too if it's offered.
@@nursetamika thank you so much! His teacher was telling me about that also!
I just get so so happy to see you live your life, the good, the bad, the confusing in between. Plus we lovvveeee Jax! The sweetest baby boy 🥹
Old subbie coming back cause tiktok brought me here. Glad I found you again cause you giving creator realness 🫶🏽
Jaelahhhh you got me crying I’m thinking you talking bout real funerals but I feel you on that cut off time. Fucking love you 😂🤣😭😭😭❤️
You give the BEST, most authentic vlogs. Sooo happy to see you back 🥰
You’re such a beautiful soul ❤️ thank you for sharing about your son
Your wittiness is Always 💯
me: dang I need something to watch while I work

thank you so much girl 😭🫶🏾
Your such an amazing mom to Jax and a mother definitely knows when something is off or going wrong they can definitely feel it 👍🏾👏🏾🤗🥰❤️.
My son has autism as well. It can be very overwhelming but there are a lot of resources and a very supportive community for autistic kids and parents.
My skin started doing the same. Start exfoliating every day using a loofah or sponge. No matter what i used, my skin wasn't absorbing it completely, and the moisture wasn't locked in. I promise your skin will feel softer and hold moisture better.
You’re such an amazing mom 💕
I am loving the vlogs especially this one! I always appreciated your transparency. ❤❤
P.S can we bring the storytimes to YT for the girlies that don’t have insta 🙏🏾
Nooooo. The transition from you singing jumpin jumpin to the music playing was 🤌🏾 CHEFS KISS
that transition from the singing to the nail appt??!! TALK TO HER NICE!!!!
You’re real and hilarious, I love that 😭🫶🏾
i work with kiddos with autism & other comorbidities. i absolutely love them and although it may be hard sometimes, the progress made is always amazing to see. i can’t wait to see my clients tomorrow 🥹🫶🏽
jaelah in the middle if the day love that
Baybee can we take a moment to appreciate two muhluvin thangs JAE sanging and it going straight to beat so flawlessly…you HAVE to keep that style soo fye!!!
You're not alone and I know sometimes it may feel like it, but there's a whole army of black autism moms
🧩❤🧡💛💚💙💜🧩
Awwww you talking about the lady at the amusement park made me emotional for you. Like she was really sent your way. That’s crazy!
The jumpin jumpin transition was so cute lol. Love the vlog as per usual
You see me 💅🏾 thanks boo 🫶🏾
Lmaooo I was used to body slamming the trunk closed on my ‘09 accord 😂was an adjustment pressing the close button instead for the trunk on my new car😂
That jumpin' jumpin' transition was it! 🥰
Jaelah im so proud of you ❤❤❤ I've been watching u since you started vlgogging
I'm a special ed and general ed teacher. Take whatever paperwork you get from testing and take it to his school so that he can be evaluated for resources. The IEP team and you will determine which resources will best fit him. Stay strong and advocate for your baby.
I'm soooooo sorry that "jumpin jumpin" transition ATE 🤤🤤🤤👏🏾👏🏾
I loved every part of this vlog ❤ love you jae bae lol
Girl yes manuka honey does wonders for the skin. It has too many benefits!!
