    I didn't know, but you can guess a lot from the radicals and help from multiple choice. Was fun!

      Indeed, especially with the tree (木) and fish (魚) radicals. Have a good one !

    1.5y into studying Japanese, managed to answer all except 花金, first time seeing that one;p
    I guess that's a good sign.

    i might guess that a rather non-negligible share of japanese native speakers themselves do not know what is 花金 (which appears to have been a trendy word in the past but definitely not anymore)

      That is correct. Younger people / students here in Japan don’t know the word, though I’ve heard an element school principal used it with his staff of teachers to indicate that it’s a “happy alcohol drinking” Friday. Also in a Japanese car manufacturing factory some years ago.

    As a Mandarin speaker without Japanese background, only 花金 will be an issue since no such words in Mandarin. The rest of the words are totally the same as MAndarin.
