Great game play....really making the most of those southern forces...save scumming Imrahil's death is totally warranted...theres only so much total AI BS the world can withstand...especially when Harad can necromancer 14 generals per turn....breaking the siege at Fanuilond would be good and then moving the reserves with a unit of pikes to take Tirithoros would improve the Poros front, you'll be able to defend Linhir with the Armory and retrained troops once the barracks is completed. If you can get Knights of Silver Swan and Talon knights everywhere please go late game with this campaign and take on Isengard...those units are the the most visually pleasing units in the game.
We'll be taking it reasonably late I would assume. I love the DA aesthetic as well and having such strong late game cav and infantry makes it a pleasure to play. Yeah, I just hope it doesn't keep happening if it is a bug.
hahahahaahahahahahahaha... Yeah he was a joke compared is Imrahil. But in all honesty, I am convinced it is a bug and hence the reload. If he dies fair and square I would bury him with honour.
@epmdota I believe there is a very small chance any cav general can die in any charges it's a small chance and always, always happens against shit units. Not spears. It happens to izzy with his Cav generals from time to timr
@@BeregondFirstCaptain It is not hard coded. Just that generals tend to be on the fringe of the unit (thus not were max damage is done during charge) and cav takes extra damage when pulling back (no defense skill when hit while disengaging) Thus your cav general can easily take a dozen hits per charge when disengaging. Even a FL with 20hit points can die in 2 charges... Cav'sAI in med2 sucks, and even more in large numbers.
@Etienne that makes sense but I have seen izzy lose cav generals on its first or second charge during the charge not the retreat. I dont mod or code wo I don't really know what I'm talking about anyways so I default to those who know more lol
In an earlier version where some factions had assassins, my attack stack with leader, heir, and two others and regular troops was blasting through Harad, generals all had winged swans back then. Three assassins appeared next to my spy and killed both leaders and another general. I save scummed when I stopped cussing. This games’ aiming and random chance dice is corrupt.
A bit late perhaps, but check your "battle commander" generals and try handing off Ancillaries that are governing items to governors they pass by and take some of the outstanding combat ones from them. I know anything that improves combat speed is a godsend to Imrahil and I thought I saw a horse ancillary somewhere. Also someone might have a better armor or shield, especially as you eventually upgrade your armories/blacksmith chain. Since no one dies of old age in this version, stacking a ton of bonuses on Governors or on Combat leaders is a solid plan. Even a slight bonus to taxes or Administration (whatever the governing skill is) can net hundreds of extra gold a turn, more if you put them in a major trading city like Harad or even the Grey Havens.
This is a good idea to remember at all times. I has to be opportunistic as I'm not going to move generals just to change ancillaries but thanks for the reminder, I'll keep an eye out.
@epmdota well right, that would be a waste of time. But if you have two generals in the same city, might as well adjust. Also keep an eye out for upgrade opportunities too. Imrahil with a sword pip and three armor upgrades would be a monster
@AkodoAkira1 will do. Cannot get max armour, Gondor and DA only go to tier 5 armour now, no advanced blacksmith in V5. Max Swan knight armour is the bronze upgrade I believe since he starts so high to begin with. Guilds appear trickier to obtain in V5 too to get the attack upgrades.
Lol spund like your raging about how hard the woodland realms campaign was. I watched all the episodes but I think I was done watching it like episodes 4 or 5. It was just siege after siege after siege
Restart, the look on your face was priceless.

Epm: if this guy dies I'll be sad
*Imrahil dies*

That would have been quite the moment.
If I was playing harad and that had happened to imrahil I would be extremely happy
I think I would be even more surprised if I was on the positive end of it.
@@epmtotalwar same but happy nonetheless
