- Hvert år drar jeg på en topptur med sønnen min, Gustav. I år var det Galdhøpiggen sin tur til å bestiges. Og det gjorde vi fra Spiterstulen.

For all del. Det var en fantastisk tur, selv om det var en hardere tur enn vi hadde først antatt. Kanskje derfor det føles ekstra godt (og kult) at vi fikk oss den turen her sammen. For vi kommer jo aldri til å glemme det :)

Veyry nice one.I dont understand norweigian very well. How far from the camp site to the top? and how log it took for you guys to go up and also come down? Is there a proper marked trail all the way to the top? Planning to go with my boys too (12 ansd 8 years)
Hello.
From the Spiterstulen camp site and all the way to the top, the distance is approx. 6,7 km. We used 5 hours and 15 minutes to get to the top, including breaks , and walked 1424 hight meters. Used only 2 1/2 hours down.
The whole trail is really well marked, so very easy to follow all the way up. It is a tough walk, perhaps too tough for your kids, unless they are used to long, upwards hikes.
There is another way to make it all the way to the top, and that is from Juvasshytta. That hike is much shorter, but includes walking over a glacier with a guide. You can read more about it here:
