- Brutally honest review of the unfinished Lago Hotel in Side, Turkey. This review of Lago Hotel in Side is covering both the good and the bad sides of this unfinished but a hotel with a great potential once ready. Both our tour agency and the hotel lied us before we got there that everything is fully functional and operating. When we arrived, the mess was all around us, we got our room very late, after 3pm. Once settled in, we realized that none of the kids areas are fully functional, very important if you're travelling with a kid. Furthermore, most of the time the service was very bad, you had to ask multiple times for an order, the waiters simply were not delivering the orders. Other employees knew that the hotel is still a mess and they were just raising shoulders aware that not everything is working. The hotel was constantly running out of drinks every day, maybe they had limited availability of some drinks or they were simply not giving them to the guests. Towels also were gone relatively quickly and there was only one station for towels. Furthermore, many areas beside the kids area were still closed and not operational. So, if you're considering to visit this hotel, after watching the review of Lago Hotel in Side, please try to visit the hotel in August 2023 the earliest, I expect that most of the things will be operational by then, although there will be work in progress everywhere because they work on the villas. Overall, the hotel is decent, once ready, it's not in the league of previous hotels I visited before such as Selectum, Rixos, Titanic or NG Phaselis Bay, it's worth a bit less, so depending from the offer you'll get, check all the details of the video and make your decision. Hello Bajram - I'm not sure actually, it all depends from the weather, hopefully the hot weather will start soon and there will be enough time to increase the temperature a bit. I don't think also that many visitors will be there so you should definitely have a good time

Yes most probably the kids area is open by now but I can't promise anything since with this hotel everything they told me it works before I arrived was a lie
Due to allergies I stick to chicken and beef- are there meat options with every meal?
Yes, there are plenty of beef and chicken options
@@AngelArnaudov I also enjoy Rixos! I am familiar with the spectrum of "5 stars' in Turkey and Egypt so I appreciate your work in making this video and answering questions. For last min hot deals, I am able to get a stay at Lago for half the price of what I would pay for Rixos many months in advance. Do you think it is worth it. I don't mind less in terms of facilities.
@@ArthurCowdery I'm not sure how ready is the hotel now. In terms of drinks options and quality is far away from Rixos, food is decent although again far from what you get in Rixos but at the end if you got a decent offer, it's worth to try something new, but be ready to see construction work around you, and things falling apart every here and there, I hope that is changed by the time you will get there
