thanks for this, simply removing the outer shell and putting it back on solved the rattling I was hearing just above the Mid speaker

I just found out that there is a hole on the enclosure of the charge 5. It can be found on the ND versions beside the battery indicator while the TL versions have the hole beside the tweeter. It almost looks like there is a microphone but it's just a hole covered with something like a sticker. When there's a bass and the speaker is playing, you can see that there is a hole and the sticker covering it is dancing with the presure inside the enclosure

that is a pressure release hole, it lets air in and out for when you travel into areas that have higher pressure than sea level.

TY, I bought new battery because speaker didnt charge anymore, but it didn't solve the problem. I saw lose cable and had to get into circuit board to fix it and viola, speaker as new and I even returned battery with no loss :)

I have a Charge 5 I find the biggest takeaway is lack of the aux port meaning I cant wire it to my phone or other device for playing games since using Bluetooth without at least aptx built in the latency is way to high however I know usb audio is possible on the device and with the ability to push firmware updates I know my chance is next to 0% but I just hope someone at JBL sees one of my comments and adds a Toggle in there app for audio over usb!

I broke mine like that🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ I honestly didn't know they had different versions. I just popped the cover off n then realized I fucked up my jbl lol. It still closed n locks good but mane hurts me that I broke it so stupidly😅
I have charge 5 TL and ND, TL is louder than the ND
ND is much better in bass but muffled sounds.
TL is clear in sounds and deep bass.
So you recommend the TL over the ND version?

I dropped mine yesterday at work and now it doesnt make any sound apart from a buzzing noise when my phone makes noise but ive check the wires and theyre all fine no dodgey connection (electrically) idk about the Bluetooth antena but connects to my phone so should work, any suggestions of what could be wrong?

it could either be an issue with the cable, charging port, or the battery. i would start with trying a different working cable, check the port to see sign of damage etc.

Great I just broke the shell... My charge 5 looks exactly like this one but there's no hinge in the shell and there was 2 screws keeping it on by the base/seem.
Is it a knock - off or something?

I’m only hearing sound from one side of the speaker is that what it’s Supposed to do
you should hear sound from the front side of the speaker where the logo is at. no sound is projected on the opposite side

Not at all. It’s been only three weeks with me. Maybe I should just bring it back to the store where I purchased it so they can take a look at it.
@@jaypeegrate5025It has an indicator, it just turns off by itself. You can turn it back on by pressing the pause / play button

that's the TL version, the first version of charge 5
have better bass than the ND version
in addition, TL version is low ohm configuration and ND is high ohm configuration, so it means that the TL version is more powerful when it comes to bass but sadly it consumes more power than the ND version
is it real that the battery takes 20hrs?

Hey! I have a question. I have this model but there is a "radio like" noise sound coming from the Tweeter. It's noticable on lower volume but on louder volume it is still there but not noticable since the sound is so loud. Is this normal? Or is it faulty?
are you sure it's the tweeter and not the mid speaker? I had an issue like this but it was a rattle noise coming from the right side just above the mid speaker. i just removed the outer shell and put it back on. the rattle noise went away, for now lol

JBL has different version of thier speakers. It is mainly due to regional variations, features upgrade, software/firmeware improviement, special edition, hardware revision etc.
It doesn't have port for flashdrive

didnt work, dont know if its because i bought mine in europe? but my outer cover/shell doesnt come off, it doesnt even fold half way like in the video. i tried putting more pressure, and i started hearing cracking and tearing. be careful about this video if you arent american
There’s like 4 different factories these are made in. Some of them have the grills that fold in half, some have screws on the bottom you remove for the grill to come off. Some grills don’t fold in half, and you have to slightly expand them and slide them off toward the side. I guess JBL did this to make people confused and make them harder to repair, because not all of them come apart the same way or use the same components. Some people have even noticed sound differences between individual speakers. And no, it doesn’t matter what country you live in.
