I'm thinking of finally getting an old MG after seeing one in a movie in the late 1960's as a teen. (US) I'd love a TC, but they are out of my price range. So I'm looking around for a affordable TD. I'm watching your videos in awe!!!. Great work. It does send shivers down my spine seeing you torque those nuts with a crow bar on your lug threads. I would have put a small piece of rubber tubing on them at least, or some duck tape. But I'm watching this playlist in September 2023, so I'm sure you finished the car and are enjoying driving it, so..... Cheers!!!!

Keep up the great work👍🏼😃 All fresh linings & wheel cylinders was definitely a good investment in your safety.

Nice video but it appears you have the brake backing plates reversed or upside down on the axle. The actuating cylinder should be mounted so it is forward of the axle so the emergency cable can be anchored and attached to it. The emergency brake cable is anchored to the rear end on the forward facing abutment over the rear spring with the small hole in it. it then has to attach to the brake cylinder actuating lever. Cannot do that with the cylinder mounted behind the axle.

Thanks Neil. This is exactly the reason why I need input from my viewers.
I went down into the garage and had a look at what I had done. I also saw that the mount for the handbrake cable sitting on the front of the axle housing. It all makes sense now, thanks again

Unrelated, but while I have your attention. Safety wire installation for the clutch assembly. There are right and wrong ways to do this! I suggest you search RUclips for examples. If you do it wrong you will loose sleep trying to remember what you did. The wires should be "self tightening" so if one comes loose it is automatically tightened by the other ones.

I will definitely be doing this, a lot of research to do before I tackle the engine
