  • I'm back at home in Ireland now after New Zealand so I'm able to throw up maybe 2 or 3 videos that I didn't get a chance to upload last year.
    This one is an easy enough job, lifting a few bales of haylage and tipping them by the gate to bring them home later on in the year.
    7810 looks shook enough now in fairness but shur I'll get around to restoring it at some stage. I need it too much to take it out of action for a couple of months to do a full job on it. I'll fix it up a bit in the coming weeks before silage 2022 though.
    I'm hoping to at least get the 2 doors fully welded up and sprayed and I'll try and see what I can do about the sunroof. All the stainless piping, I want to redo that now because it was a mess under the bonnet from day one. Some eejit did it for me and I was never happy with it. There's a day or two to be spent wiring and I suppose the main most important job that needs to be done is the head gasket. The combination of the Jf running really well and no temperature gauge is not ideal. While I have everything apart I might as well take out the radiator and see if I can get it recored or a slightly deeper replacement found to improve the cooling capacity. I don't know myself yet at all, we'll see once I start into it.
    And I still won't have even looked at the hydraulics again this year 🙄 It's a problem with the lift anyway because the spools are perfect and the two pumps are pressure checked and they are perfect too. If it can manage to lift the tedder, that's all I need it to do. I'm after a Same Laser 150 to take the pressure off the Ford but that won't be until next year. The one I have my eye on isn't for sale yet.
    But that's the story now...you'd know I've done a few hours in this tractor since the last double bale handler video with it. Who needs a left hand shuttle anyway 😂

      Yera I might. I worked for a one-man operation who just did baling mainly. I started off with Reymer Ag though and I drove for Hall&Wilson a bit too.

      No such thing 😅 closest you will get is a 30 series with an electric shuttle modified onto it, I always wanted to do that but I've never seen it done before. A laser 150 is up there on my list alright, not at the very top, but it's up there. Not as sought after as the ford tw's and 55 series john deeres of the time and so they are still relatively cheap so an average fella like me can afford one.

      @@WayneMescal Is a Laser 150 from before the time of Deutz and Lamborghini and all producing the same tractors?

    • @WayneMescal
      @WayneMescal  2 года назад

      Same was "SLH" Same, Lamborghini, Hurlimann before it became "SDF" Same, Deutz-Fahr. And the laser is from when they were still operating as SLH. The good old days 😆 you could get a Laser in 3 different colours, the only difference was the panels and the Green and White ones were water cooled. A white Laser was a Lamborghini 1506 and I don't know what the Hurlimann green equivalent is but a Same Galaxy 170 was similar to a Lamborghini 1706 and a Hurlimann H6170-T. As far as I know, Same is the big boss of all the companies, they bought the other 3 out, even Deutz! Well...at least their agri division. Deutz still make engines but gave up on tractors and combines.
      That's roughly the story of it as far as I know anyway.

      No no, this is last year. I left these videos on the computer at home while I was away in NZ and so I wasn't able to put them up until now because I'm home.

      I’m only ball hopping. I hope you earned the price of a few tons of fertilizer while you were in Aotearoa
