🌻PLEASE READ~ hi everyone, thanks for checking out my video. plesae check the description box for any additional info/resources/FAQ. i'll also highlight any important info/updates regarding the build here. since i made the tutorial in eternaland, it's possible that there may be some discrepancies in build mechanics compared to the live server. i try to account for those discrepancies, but it's hard to do. *update 1:* if you can't get your kitchen foundations to raise to the correct height with grid snap, then please try the following-- temporarily place a small half wall on the lower level foundation, and then your raised kitchen foundation should snap to the correct height. from there, you can delete the small half wall and place the rest of your upper level kitchen foundations. example: i.imgur.com/TRztE4Z.png i apologize for the inconvenience. *update 2:* if you don't have enough stability to place the window at 25:11 with the ceiling trick-- since there will eventually be a balcony in front of the window, you can just build the two small square ceilings in front (reference: i.imgur.com/Cy9KjRu.png). if you still can't get the window to place with those ceiling tiles there, you can try rotating those two small square ceilings in a different orientation because sometimes the orientation impacts your wall placement. or also, you could try the ceiling trick on the interior side of the wall while you have those 2 small square balcony tiles placed if you are still struggling to place the window in the correct orientation. hopefully one of these methods helps.
I did it today and the build totally works (there's no errors), and somehow made it under 700 structures lol Is really pretty! Love your build and can´t wait to se more :3
I would love to have a video showing how you map things out on grid squares like this. Like what to consider on the scale and how it translates to grids. Thats such a smart idea

thank you so much for the base tutorial, i was so excited to finally see how to stack the Isolated Securement Unit, but I didn't see you mention about it 😢
i didn't do anything special or notable to make them stack that i can think of, but someone told me they were able to replicate it by placing all of their securement units down first, relogging, and then they were able to stack them.
It took me a while to realize that relogging would work to stack it. Additionally, if you have a teammate with access to your base, they can help stack it for you 😊
@@swampylady thank you for responding, i have solved it ! So what i did was just take out all of my deviants, destroy the securement unit and remake it and i was able to stack it. All of the old one i made cant be stacked for whatever reason
Curses, i know you did say you were planning to make a tutorial on this base in my last comments on the other video, but my reverse engineer build had already finished it 😅 gosh if i was patient/saw a tutorial was intended before jumping into it ooooof so many hours would be saved. It looks so simple watching you do it! And very interesting to compare the differences! My method was essentially 3D Print style watching your video tour and guesstimating off size references and pattterns hehe. The trickiest dang thing with building via SMALL objects i find, is weird clipping issues like its snapped to a slightly diff plane, giving situations where your walls and stuff have a visible line gap.
i'm sure your version turned out good, and mine definitely isn't perfect! i think there's still room for improvement and consolidating pieces to reduce the structure count. also, the pixel gap is the bane of my existence.. so annoying! i'm constantly rotating and replacing things to try and get rid of that gap, but it's kind of inevitable when you're building with the smaller foundations/walls 😭i'm trying to make peace with it... or cover it with vines 😆
@@swampylady one thing I did learn and get to compare with yours, is you can save a lot of build space by using full walls and half walls rather, or even some cases the small half walls, instead of opting for each respective tier lower! Same goes for the ceilings and whatnot. Like 3:50 you can absolutely just use a full foundation for a number of these than a small! :D Its great to be able to see the floor plan and back of the house though. For the entire kitchen dining section, I foolishly made that entire raised section ceilings and small half walls instead of just that curved section adjoining to the living room, not once did I even consider just raising foundations up! So that ate soooo many building pieces, but it's too late now to change it hahaha! Easily 2x'd or 3x'd the amount of materials needed.
Man I have wall vines 1, 3, 4 and 5 formulas, but only one 2 obtained. I put it to good use but compare with the others Wall vines 2 is the ultimate. Well 3 or 1 is great for covering poles and wall lights.
It's a really pretty house!!! Thank you for posting the guide video as well. Thanks to this, I was able to get the courage to build along this pretty house. Just... the occasional little cracks in between bother me. Is there a way to fix this?😅
thank you! i agree the cracks can be really annoying! you can try picking up the pieces and replacing them until the crack is no longer showing, but it can take some trial and error. sometimes rotating the piece around or adjusting your positioning in fly mode can help place the piece without pixel gaps. but the frustrating part is that you have to fix the error starting from the level of foundations, so if you already have a crack going all the way up, it probably will be a lot of work to fix. i've accepted that it's not always feasible to get rid of every single gap due to the nature of the building system. if there's a gap going up the wall that really bothers me, i might just cover it with vines or something 😆
@@swampylady Thank you for the comments! I keep trying to spin in different directions, but when I put one on, I fell down with a gap next to me... Is it because it's not Eternalland? Snap after recent patch is weird too... I'll find a decent flat on the live server and try again.😆
@@벚꽃-k9b at the end of the day, some small gaps might be inevitable unfortunately due to the nature of the build system. also, when i build i'm pretty much always in fly mode so i don't have to worry about my character getting in the way or falling down. and my main build is on the seasonal server, not eternaland (i only did the tutorial in eternaland since my territory on the seasonal server was already occupied) so that shouldn't apply here. but if you can't get the cracks to go away no matter what, sometimes textured wallpaper helps hide it, or you could cover it with vines or something. i definitely have a couple cracks on mine, mostly the back of the house, so it's not like mine is perfect. but anyway, sorry that i can't be of more help! i hope the devs are able to fix it in the future
Hey, if we don't have the +100 territory size spec what could we remove you think to make up for that? I also have a generator setup for water distribution that might upset that number as well
here are some ideas to help reduce the structure cost: -at 02:59, i build two small square foundations sticking out for the firepit. you can skip this part so that the length across is even. just make center bit of the media center where the TV goes made of regular walls. then at 03:04, you could entirely skip over those triangle foundations. it would look something like this (i randomly colored the wallpaper to better see the parts used): i.imgur.com/Jd55yjW.jpeg -don't include optional foundations at 04:36 -don't include any of the framing walls/counter for the bathroom at 23:09 i think that takes the structures down to ~672. you could reduce it further by not including as many concrete columns, not including as many shelves, not including as many windows, not including the two balconies, etc. good luck!
you can definitely modify the design as much as you'd like, or even just take general inspiration from it! in my description box FAQ section for this video, i listed a couple ways to potentially reduce the structure count. my main reason for using so many of the small square walls is for the shelving and also so the wallpaper can be placed more seamlessly since some of the wallpapers have borders that show up.
the recent patch has made things really hard to place and they tend to want to go at a weird angle now. i hope they fix it... but in the meantime, you can help force the placement of your wall by building out two temporary small ceiling tiles. example: i.imgur.com/YaLRU9d.png hope this helps
Sorry I can't quite grasp, at 0:45 on the diagram it says 6.5 squares and 8.5 squares on the edges what does that mean? Also, the starting position is it 2 squares up 13 across? Many thanks, Mr Swampy!
oh yeah, my mad scientist diagram is a bit confusing lol. but the 8.5 and 6.5 are just supposed to represent the full dimensions of the building itself, where 1 square = 1 normal square foundation. so the 8.5 squares means that the build has a maximum length of 8.5 foundations from front-to-back, and a maximum width of ~6.5 foundations across left-to-right. it's mostly just for reference so you can see how much area/perimeter the build takes up. and no, the starting position of my build is not necessarily 2 up 13 across because that diagram is cropped and zoomed in. i believe a fully upgraded territory plot has a dimension of 18x18 square foundations.
