Structure was the Hydra scientist who experimented on and trained Wanda and her brother Pietro. The Hydra symbol was also on the watch. Not a spoiler, but a couple later episodes have post credits scenes. Keep an eye out.
WandaVision receiving 23 Emmy nominations this week, including limited series, lead actress (Elizabeth Olsen), lead actor (Paul Bettany), supporting actress (Kathryn Hahn), writing , directing, visual effects and more.
When Agnes talked about Wanda clothes she was referring to Wanda wearing pants. Back in that Era of television that would be seen as wrong. Notice all the women around her are wearing skirts or dresses.
@@mikkosimonen Except that doesn't matter anymore, ever since the end of Loki season 1. MCU timeline is not the only timeline inside MCU now, every character that died or disappear can now return! The multiverse was unleashed. And all of it IS part of MCU!
Von Strucker was in charge of the European science/R&D branch of Hydra. Alexander Pierce was in charge if Project Insight: the American/S.H.E.I.L.D. branch of Hydra in Winter Soldier. Hydra seems to have been compartmentalized for security.
For this Episode you need to watch "Bewichted" a wonderful funny great 1960's sitcom. It was one of my favorite series as a child besides "I dream of Jeannie". Everything is magic when you are a kid, and Colour TV was born in the 1960's also. I just watched "Bewichted" again and now 50 + years later I appreciate the great humor I didn't get when I was 10 years old. What wonderful writers.
The lengths the production team went through to insure the episodes were authentic representations of the sitcoms they were mimicking is nothing short of mind boggling. Even to the point the camera, lighting, and sound people on set were dressed in period costumes to give the live studio audience an authentic experience.
2:40 feels like Fallout 4. Yup, Fallout also took loads of inspiration from shows and animation in the 50s and 60s. In this case in particular from the tv show I Dream of Jeannie - which also had a magical female lead. That show was shot in black and white at first but later seasons were shot in color.
the intro animation is retro futurist and pays homage to the bewitched opening credits sequence. the fallout series has used retro futurist iconography for all the pip boy and animated callback introductions since... well at least since fallout 3.
The styling of each episode roughly goes like this; The Dick Van Dyke Show, Bewitched, The Brady Bunch, Family Ties, Malcolm in the Middle, Modern Family.
The is the Bewitched episode - the witch fish out of water dealing with humans. Also, the series started out in black & white and transitioned to color in 1966 for the rest of the series. Geraldine didn't know her name up until that point (also, it's the name of a Flip Wilson character whose tag line was "The Devil made me wear that dress." - which stoked the Mephisto theories).
It is a direct homage to American TV shows 50s, 60s, 70s, etc. If you didn't grow up in those times or watch Nick at Night, I guess it would seem even more strange to you.
personally felt i wished wanda vision went futher, it had the best foundation but didnt take the risks i wish it did, but its gonna all hinge on multiverse of madness right?
I've loved them all so far, but this and Loki are my two favorites. So different from anything else we've gotten, and a clear indication that they are easing us into the fact that phase four is gonna embrace the weird side of Marvel, and I love it
I've been a fan of the MCU for a while and I adore the new shows, they have such a different energy to them and they're starting to branch out and try a ton of new things. :) Really loving the reactions, can't wait for you to see some of the later episodes! And if you like this, you should definitely watch Loki.
wondering if you'd be willing to do like 2 episode per upload.... seeing that most of them are only around 30 mins... just a thought... I love your reaction to this and how lost you are.... can't wait till you get to Loki ;)

Von Strucker was the guy that experimented on Wanda and Pietro. He was the Hydra dude with the monocle in Age of Ultron
Not to mention one of the most important heads/leaders of Hydra. 2nd only to Red Skul himself!
@@petrgalko4152 He's not second to Red Skull in the MCU, though, since the Red Skull is out of the picture in the present.

@@petrgalko4152 Nice job avoiding posting spoilers, bro.

Notice that everyone was saying "for the children" but where were the children? And after this heavily "for the children" episode, Wanda was pregnant.
There is an old phrase called "Gumming up the works" and I think the gum is a play on the phrase.
Loved the Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie vibes in this episode 👍🏾👍🏾

Love that the did the special effects in the way it would have been done during that decade. So floating or flying objects were done with strings.
Such a fantastic touch

All the ads call back to the MCU.
Strucker is the man who turned Wanda and her brother into mutants with Loki's scepter (Anvegers: Age of Ultron).
Specifically callbacks that have to do with Wanda's past traumas
Also, the Stark Toaster ad from the first episode is a reference to her home getting bombed by Stark weapons as a child.

Your confusion is entertaining. Loved your reaction.
😭
Speaking of b&w movies turning into color,, Pleasantville is an interesting watch
I love that movie!
People don't appreciate that movie as much as they should imo
the cartoon at the start is a reference to bewitched i believe a sitcom in the 60s
One of my favorite projects from the entire MCU ! Fantastic writing and acting. My fav series of the 3 out so far

This is my favourite episode of the series
I prefer this to any of the following series but that is just me
personally felt i wished wanda vision went futher, it had the best foundation but didnt take the risks i wish it did, but its gonna all hinge on multiverse of madness right?
Loki was my favorite
Not just you, I haven't liked the other series much but this one was great
I like all the shows so far, but this one is my favorite by a lot!

I would say they have a different energy because its not being crammed into 2 hours of film instead we get 4-5 hours
He's so young that he doesn't remember when TV's had 'dials'. He thinks the phrase originated in a video game.😐
wondering if you'd be willing to do like 2 episode per upload.... seeing that most of them are only around 30 mins... just a thought... I love your reaction to this and how lost you are.... can't wait till you get to Loki ;)
a film for your consideration; 1989's "The Abyss"
Oh yeah. Definitely some David Lynch vibes coming off this.
if you where this hyped.. for ep 2.... :)

FCUK P.T. that game was scary af!
well you know New Mutants is technically considered a horror marvel movie even though it isn't scary like that
For the children who are never shown interesting 😑
