  • Acerola, also known as Barbados cherry or West Indian cherry, is a tree that produces small, bright red fruits with a tangy, tropical flavour. They have exceptional vitamin C content. These little cherries are among the richest natural sources of vitamin C - far surpassing most other fruits. They typically contain between 1,000 to 4,500 milligrams of vitamin C per 100 grams, making them a nutritional powerhouse. Vitamin C plays a vital role in supporting your immune system, promoting healthy skin, and aiding in collagen production. Acerola is a delicious and healthy addition to your garden, offering a burst of essential nutrients.

I have 2 young ones that have started to flower. I used to love ascerola C tablets as a child and recently learned about the Barbados cherry 🍒- I can’t wait to try it fresh. Thank you for the great video. 😊

Your videos are the ONLY thing that ever make me think that living in Queensland wouldn't be so bad, 37 years after coming back home to Tasmania.
I wish I'd had these resources available to me when I lived there for 8 years!

Thank you for this great nutrient dense little film ;and your notes in your description ! A fedge on the entrance path🔥🔥 “A bit like a cherry….also it is like a nectarine……unripe it is tart” (I also love tart/ sour tastes like all citrus, tamarind, rhubarb, guavas, tamarillo). Wow, this acerola sounds like just what I would like….I would love to try. From what you said…it would be good to prune and use the cuttings to propagate at the same time. I am going to check out your blog next.
