You look beautiful makeup free! I'm in love with no-makeup , make up looks like the one you did in this video. I'm glad to hear that your medical placement isn't full of doom and gloom. It sounds like it will be a great learning experience. I'm applying to the NYU distance program soon... I hope I get in! The only thing holding me back if the actually accept me is the cost.
This is a great video! I literally just recorded my one month medical placement video. I’m gonna title it Imani B. inspired because we’ve had a very similar experience! Keep it up! Let us know how your classes are going and your workload. #Bless
Imani, I am at my wit's end here! I had an appt that I waited a month for to see a laryngologist in Chicago. We were on the way there but had to turn around because I stupidly left my wallet behind! So I didn't make my appt and had to cancel it. I'm rly disappointed and am trying to find a diff laryngologist bcuz maybe it's a sign that I shouldn't go see him afterall.. but I'm coming up empty handed. Would a speech therapist be moreso what I need? - my problem is that I keep losing my voice. After a small amount of talking (an hr maybe, could be shorter or longer cuz it'd random) and after singing 1 song (or just half a song or maybe 2 songs), i feel very sore and hoarse. Other odd things: other liquids feel better on my throat instead of water, and when i drink water, i must have ice water bcuz without ice, it makes my throat feel scratchy. I am well aware u are not a dr!! Can you point me in any direction? Have u heard of any of this b4?
Hey Sarah! Don’t be disappointed, things happen but I think you should definitely find a different ENT and schedule an appointment as soon as you can. Going to an SLP would be helpful too but based on my experience we would refer you out to one to confirm our findings anyway before we could start the therapeutic process. Don’t worry and be easy on your voice in the mean time! Hope this helps!
Your skin is literally glowing..LOVE!! Also, so happy to hear about your first day! I can't wait to get into grad school...one day lol
Thank you so much for this video. I am planning to apply to NYU and specialize in dysphagia and you were very helpful!!
I love watching your videos ! You are so pretty ! I’m currently in my first semester of graduate school. Your videos are so informative.
Thank you Nyesha! Congratulations and glad you are enjoying them!

Can't wait to watch! :) Thank you, really sweet of you to reach out.
Do you have any say at online NYU about how far away your placements are?
I'm curious if you wear scrubs as a medical SLP
YES!
