you had me at, "the developers of Dead Cells."
@@devastatheseeker9967 How were they shtty?
@@devastatheseeker9967 Then all the people who were taken advantage of were done so for nothing. VERY bad take
been patiently waiting for any news about this game and glad we get to touch it finally this month
Thanks for putting this on my radar. All the best!
I have been eagerly anticipating this for what seems like 2 years now. This is the easiest day 1 EA buy from me.
this look like bastion looks really good
yeah clearly Bastion/Hades were strong influences here. But looks pretty different too
I'm not a big fan of early access, but this looks so good. Definitely buying when it's fully released, if not a little sooner
Thanks for the video. I'm excited to see how this team handles the leap to 3d. As you pointed out, it makes things much more complicated. Onward to 400k. All glory to the algorithm.
Actually the developers already use 3d workflow in Deadcells to streamline the 2d animations. So I would assume that they are familiar with it and 2d/3d is just a stylistic choice.
Really enjoyed Dead Cells so hopefully this turns out to be just as good.
Thanks! I intended to buy the early access only to support the game day 1 and to play it somewhere next year. My son loved Dead cells and even pushed me into playing it. That's great news for him.
Mort you may like Bloomtown. It's a sprite jrpg inspired by goonies/stranger things
You had me when you said that they were the creators of dead cells

I have been waiting for any news on this game. Am glad it came from you!
I love that Basilisk
the art style reminds me of early 2010s Wii U nintendo games. Very nostalgic
Hey Mortismal, I just thought I’d put a new game on your radar since it seems like the kind of game you’d review. It’s called Banquet for Fools, it launched into early access a couple days ago and is one of the most unique indie crpgs I’ve played. It’s like a mix of Baldur’s Gate 1/2 and the old ps1 game Parasite Eve but with an artstyle similar to The Dark Crystal. It’s really polished for an EA game so far, especially one made by two people. If you can fit it into your schedule I think it would make for a great video as it has a lot of potential but doesn’t seem to be getting a ton of coverage right now.
looks like ori and the blind forest + hades
Are you planning any kind of Steam Next Fest highlights/recommendations video when it starts? That would be helpful to see what might be worth checking out in a single video.
Yeah I always do
Love you morti

Do the controls feel as tight as the video is making them look?
Felt pretty good to me is about all I could say
Yes. It feels a bit like the attack dash gameplay from hades 1
Check out Rogue Waters, it's dope.
Gronk!
Before spitting venom and having your comment deleted, please take a second to read a small video game History lesson :
Motion Twin is a cooperative funded by Dead Cells original devs to work on games beyond game jams. That's how Dead Cells came to be. It got a huge initial success and MT contracted Evil Empire to keep updating and improving the game, what they've done for about 10 years with balancing and DLCs.
As MT launches a new title and EE has been contracted by UbiSoft to make the latest 2D Prince of Persia game with a great success so far, MT ended their contract with EE after a final Dead Cell update.
That decision came abruptly indeed, as EE had announced they still had ideas for additional Dead Cells content.
Imho it blew up way out of proportions, EE wouldn't have kept DC alive for much longer anyway, they just had some preparatory works on the side just in case and are well occupied with PoP.
Advertising Windblown as made by the same people as DC in no way invalidates all the work EE did (under contract, with approval from MT, expanding on the original MT code, design, art and story) to make DC the game it is today.
So the game's background is literally "the winds of zanzibart". 😂😂😂
Comment for Al Gore Rhythm.
Thank god that it's not another 2d pixel rogue like

I thought about Hades instantly
This looks like bastion, eerily close. I’d rather have a new bastion
Have you ever played Hades.
