I have so much admiration and respect for Buddy. Amazing he still performing at his age and at that level. I’ve seen in person about 10 times and every show was memorable.
Last Man standing of all these blues icons and Sir I salute you ! Skin Deep is one of the greatest blues tunes ever recorded. And thank you to let Quinn Sullivan play on that Album. He will carry the torch for you !
There is such a layer of people, I would like to consider them centenarians, let them live up to a hundred years and please with their creativity, and Buddy Guy, and Mickey Jagger, who just turned 80 this year, it's so great, not everyone is lucky to live on stage to such an age, by the way.
This man is a well built, immaculately maintained machine. He inspired the guys who inspired my inspirations! Gonna go see him in Spokane, WA the day after tomorrow.
Divine Soul !!! You are alive and you will be still alive ! Purple Rain We have to be carefull, how we treat each other ! Your my man Thank you !!! Greatings from Cologne !
He's a legend but also a great Man that you could learn a lot from. Saw him live in Grollo 2017 or 2018. Have never seen a person with such a sight. Pure love, sincerity, kind of warmth and power in his eyes. BB King had it too.
I think Muddy eventually played with Buddy in the early 1960s but I think he played with Big Momma Thorton on Hound dog which is how Muddy knew him. Look I am no expert but my father was a member of a band in Dayton Ohio which turned into the Ohio Players. My father was obsessed with Blues but never set foot in the south so I may be wrong but I focus on timelines matching. My point was Muddys early days are not Buddys early days. I had trouble understanding what you said....thats all no harm darling. I am old enough to know Muddy recorded for the Smithsonian either in the late 30s or early 1940.
My intent is not to argue or have a dick measuring contest with the elderly. I simply think he ate with muddy and his wife more times then they played with each other. That is just according to interviews we had to watch while in college. Buddy was on a mission not to be playing with anyone and b 1961 he had his own working band and was in Manhattan working clubs by then. That is where he ran into Jimi Hendrix and dismissed him. The became friends later but the night Buddy met him Buddy was on a misson to bang some white girls and made fun of Jimi's hat.
@@michaelmagnum7132 My latest is a work on Tampa Red and Georgia Tom who attended music school back in 1922-1924 and the day they left they began making hits. I am sure my age has nothing to do with my education but clearly my age offends you and for that I digress. Henry Thomas wrote "Going up the Country" which Canned Heats manager took from him then hid all of his other published songs so the world never really ever knew of him. That was tragic to ruin a mans career to promote a white band as the better blues genre writers. Thats how I make my money as a researcher and publisher
I Saw Buddy Guy in the 1970's in Sydney, Australia and I can't believe he is still playing a mean guitar. Love that song "Skin Deep" with the story behind it.
OMG! THIS IS AMAZING!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING HIGH QUALITY FOOTAGE FROM THIS SHOW. IF YOU CAN SHARE MORE FROM IT, PLEASE DO!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm lucky enough to live near Buddy Guys Legends in Chicago and have been blessed with his presence there more than once. He's created such a magical place, I go as much as I can.
Buddy was jokin with Charlie Musselwhite in Rohnert Park 2019 and said man id stay at your place nearby but well.... YOU QUIT DRINKIN. AND I DIDNT! love it!
His longtime keyboardist, Marty Sammon, died last year. His current keyboardist for this tour is Dan Souvigny, who is quite young actually (23), but plays like he's played for YEARS. He's great...
Dutch: Het blijft bizar hoe lang deze gast door gaat. En wat een niveau. English: It's unbelievable this guy is still going. On this level. "Skin deep" made me shed a tear. The band is great supporting him, knowing when to chime in when in trouble.
I am sure Buddy could tell many stories over his years, be cool to sit back and chat with him on his early years. He is coming to town I may go check him out, a legend
Ricordo indelebile.

Buddy Guy still mesmerising an audience at 86 years young 🎸👍

Legend of the Blues - period. And a real HAPPY 87th Birthday to Mr. Buddy Guy and really ALL the best to him ... (2023-0730)
One of the greatest blues guitarists ever - and a great voice to match.
Really impressing! He is the last survivor of the old guys. He even played with Muddy Waters in the early days.
Buddys early days....lol Muddy was 35 years in by the time buddy headed to chi town but yeah....he is has been with the greats fosho
@@MiaFantastic He met Muddy in 57. Think they played together late 50's or very early 60's. That's pretty much early days. How old r u😄
