  • MUSC Children's Health pediatric neurosurgeon Ramin Eskandari, M.D. and MUSC Health craniofacial surgeon Jason Ulm, M.D. discuss nonsyndromal craniosynostosis. Craniosynostoosis is the premature fusion of one or more of the brain’s sutures. Impeded by the fused suture from growing naturally, the brain grows in other directions, leading to skull deformities. Surgical correction requires a multidisciplinary team, including a pediatric neurosurgeon and a craniofacial surgeon.
