    Thank you for this demonstration showing how to attach the darning/free motion quilting foot. I have watched others, but the instructors didn't explain this in a way that I could see what they were doing. You show exactly where to place the parts of the foot in order to attach it. I appreciate this SO much!

    Your video makes the complicated process of attaching the darning foot so clear! There wasn't a good explanation of this in the manual that came with the machine. Thank you so very much. Until I found your video, I wasn't able to darn.

    Are there specific stitching settings to select on ones machine?

    • @alandacraft
      @alandacraft  7 месяцев назад

      It depends what you are making, the manual for your machine manual should have all that helpful information. I tend to go with the default setting for most of my projects.

    Is this foot used if u want to do the fancy embroidery stitching? Or what types of sewing do u use the feet for?

    • @alandacraft
      @alandacraft  6 лет назад

      This foot can be used for free motion quilting, thread painting, monograms and for doing repairs on torn items. You can use this foot with the built in embroidery stitches in your sewing machine. I do hope this helps, just let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

    • @bianca4430
      @bianca4430 6 лет назад

      So this foot is good for both quilting n embroidery stitching also?

    • @alandacraft
      @alandacraft  6 лет назад

      That's right, you use this foot for free motion quilting and embroidery. For sewing my quilt blocks and borders I use my regular sewing foot, and I use a walking foot when sewing the quilt sandwich together.

    hi. would I use this for my singer simple 3232 model. where did you purchase it. I don't have that lever on the back to let my feed dogs down so how would I do that on a singer simple model please

    • @alandacraft
      @alandacraft  8 лет назад

      We only have the one Singer machine Marilyn so couldn't really advise on a specific model. But not all machines have the ability to drop the feed dogs. I assume you checked your manual otherwise you could try contacting Singer to see if you can do it with your machine.

    • @TiffyCassie

      Marilyn Kolako Mine came with a cover for the feed dogs. I can see where the swich for the feed dogs could be, but on my machine there is just a plastic coverplate.
