Yale Genetics Seminar 1/10/23 | Dr. Michael Levine, PhD | Genome Organization and Long-Range Gene Control During Development
Tethering elements are short segments of DNA that influence long-range enhancer-promoter and promoter-promoter interactions. There are ~400 tethering elements scattered across the Drosophila genome, and about a fourth of these form "meta-loops" spanning entire chromosome arms. Meta-loops bring together distant neurogenic genes in the larval and adult brain
