Richardson PD - DWI Crash Involving Patrol Vehicle

We are extremely grateful that no one was injured early this morning after a suspected intoxicated driver crashed into one of our patrol vehicles. Fortunately when the collision occurred, the officer was not inside his car. He along with another officer was investigating another accident in the 1400 block of N. Central Expwy. The driver that struck the patrol squad was arrested for DWI. There is no excuse for driving while intoxicated. Call a friend, family member, ride service, do the right thing.
