My Owlicorn did not hatch. The bottom half of her egg fall off and the top ripped off as the egg is soft so it can peck through it. I caught her but sadly she did not work. I had to call spin master for a replacement one. I did not get another owlicorn I got the Pegula one instead. You cant pic the replacement sadly as they are limited to what they had at the time. But Spin Master was kind and acted fast so I give them a thumbs up on customer service. This happen like right when they came out so I don't think they could replace it that fast right now. My poor owlicorn is at least pretty to look at even if she does not work right,

Iono why it such a loss as you say. I collect toys so she is display only. Mostly just posted so if something should happen to a Hatchimal Spin master did a good job of helping me. I hope they help other with any hatching issue as well. Glad to hear your getting so many. That is very Lucky considering how hard they are to find. Enjoy hatching them.

Our hatchimal arrived with a big hole in the fabric above the wing (among other defects, such as trouble hatching and inability to remover from base). I commented on FB, and was told to DM for help (not to call, but SPECIFICALLY TO DM). I sent all the info by DM- pictures, summary of the issues, the e-mail address on my order, etc, etc, etc. 24 hours later, I received a form letter response about non-responsive Hatchimals and was told to contact the Spin Master phone support. WTF???? I've tried calling SEVERAL TIMES NOW, and still can't get through. This is getting INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING. I realize you all are overloaded right now, but asking customers to DM and then responding a day later with a form letter that has absolutely nothing to do with the issue (showing that you didn't even bother to read the message or look at the picture) is just plain rude.

Hi! Once the egg has cracked and opened, the hatchimal is still connected to the bottom and has plastic wrap around her, will she break through that as well? Should we take the plastic wrap off? Will the base come off by itself?

Hello my name is Elisia and I just wanted to point out that my hatchaimal pecked really hard then stopped and after that it did the rainbow eyes and fell asleep and did not stop so finally I just had to hatch it my self.

If it doesn’t work(all of the tips to hatch them) then u poke a hole (scissors recommended) cut the egg, and bam beat the system

How do you reset back to baby it when it out of the egg and it's a kid ?
We bought 2, one hatched fine. The other does everything the same but wont hatch. The eyes light up and you get music and rainbow eyes but it just makes a whining sound like its trying to move but cant. We worked with it all day yesterday. Reset the key several times etc. And still the same result, no hatching. Now it just goes right to sleep. Keep getting disconnected kn the phone. Sent an email Saturday. What do i do now?

Hatchimals --Seriously the Hatchimal needs to be encouraged to wake back up???Ok this is a huge problem for not just one customer hundreds of customers. So I hope you're reading all these comments and taking notes. How about there's a defect somewhere in the toy. Go back to the drawing board fix the defect and please take out the toy moaning saying F** Me right before falling asleep. It's very frustrating especially when I purchased one for my kid. I not only had a difficult time finding one I didn't catch a discount or sale I paid $200.00 plus tax so I feel cheated and my kid was cheated and other parents and kids are being cheated bottom line.

Roger Hill Yes! Same problem- absolutely nothing going on in this egg. After so much hype, this is absurd!
After fiddling with the little locks from the packaging (using paper clip to pull internal mechanism on the toy back into place and inserting the little lock pins, then turning) I was able to get it to activate and fully function. When it works, its a great toy.
But they perhaps need to change delivery packaging or put an insert some where easy and obvious explaining in DETAIL how best to free the egg from its insane packaging.
