No kidding! That alkie bar owner had an establishment that was basically designed by Euclid when he was supergucking pissed. Naturally, the bar owner saw nothing wrong with it or Jon's PBT caveat
After all, as a working man I can say that people in general are and act very differently while on the job and on free time, especially if they're in something like customer service business. Whether you're normally kinda grumpy (or in Jon's case nice guy when not on camera) or naturally nice or anything in between, you have to put your best and most accommodating face and personality on since customer is the king.
The last case, while not infamous like O-Face, is quite infuriating to me. All they have to do is admitting their bar owner is drunk. Jon was patient. And I'm glad he walked out because i would have walked out the moment they were in denial.
Second base had two rescues he helped them with the first and walked out the second time because the owner would not chip in money for renovations He redid the Dugout but walked out of the grand opening after the owner showed up drunk O face and Black Light are the only ones he walked out of without renovations
I'm glad that Jon Teffer left those four employees because they should of just be honest and telling the truth and they did deserve that because they all was lying to Jon Teffer
In that last clip, they are definitely enabling his drinking. Since one of the bartenders called him the town drunk to his team, why be afraid to say it after he showed them footage of her saying it? But Jon is the liar? Lol.
Bar Rescue should make an updated version of their video called "5 Times John Taffer Walked Out" and add this clip. Here's how I'd rate these bars in an updated video like that from worst to least worst on a scale to 1-5: 1. O' Face - Abuse (That bar is still #1 for me. Seriously, how that bar is still open after all these years is beyond me.) 2. Second Base - Cheapskate 3. Hideaway - Lying 4. Black Light District - Ego 5. Dug Out - Alcoholism & Apathy
The Second Base re-rescue episode really made me mad. Paying off debt is important, but you also need to add money to the business and not just expect it to work itself out.
I only know about the Fifth being closed because I drove by there one night several months ago and it was boarded up like they're getting ready to demolish it. But if I had to venture a guess, I'd be willing to bet that if the other three aren't already closed up for good, they will be soon. Clueless clueless owners, every last one of them.
John said he walked out 2 times. Granted, I don't know the order of this episode, but from my count, there were 5 total. (Technically, 4 1/2 since one he remodeled then walked away.)
O'Face - Walked Second Base - Walked Black Light - Asked to leave before he could walk Dugout - Remodeled then walked away Hideaway - Walked Yeah 4 1/2 sounds right.
I do have to say whoever they hire to design their bars make them look like the most uncomfortable places to be usually. Like the default setting where kyle the sports bro with a pocket full of pills would be hanging out.
I don't understand how you're supposed to sell a drink no one has ever heard of, if you can't tell people what's in it? I've seen really talented servers describe an item in such a way that people want to try it. But they can't do that if they don't know what they're selling. At least if they can't say what's in it, they need to say how it's prepared. Which is still pretty dubious but it's something.
After Jon permanently walked out on those losers, they fired Cerissa (I can't remember how that's spelled) and rehired Amanda. Those people were so disgusting that it was Jon's first ever refusal to rescue a bar in 30 years. Only Cerissa and Syk the security guard were decent people.
I’d say these failing owners are like Icarus flying too close to the sun; but I can’t. Their egos, arrogance, delusions and irresponsibility are on par with Icarus flying INTO the Sun (total 180 & playing chicken with it); making their downfalls all too deserving.
Admitting that someone has a problem with abusing substances is not turning your back on them. Allowing them to continue abusing the substance without even once trying to get them help for it, IS. She isn’t from a place that doesn’t turn their back on people, she’s from a place where people don’t talk about their problems but everyone gossips and no one helps until the person who needs it asks for it. Also possible that many people around her/ her area/ people she knows are too scared of conflict so they don’t bring up issues that really are issues, but people that have that kind of personality also make bigger problems out of smaller issues because they’re not able to deal with the real issues since that would cause the correct drama and they just don’t wanna deal with that.
The last clip really pissed me off. The employees really just sat there and lied straight to Jon’s face. Snitches may get stitches but failures get their lives ruined and they take those around them down with them too if you let them

No kidding! That alkie bar owner had an establishment that was basically designed by Euclid when he was supergucking pissed. Naturally, the bar owner saw nothing wrong with it or Jon's PBT caveat
I think Brad is a nice guy but some people just aren't cut out for the service industry, they just don't got that gear.
john is def so funny off the show too
After all, as a working man I can say that people in general are and act very differently while on the job and on free time, especially if they're in something like customer service business.
28:25 I thought it was 4 times.
O Face
Second Base
Black Light District
The Dugout
Second base had two rescues he helped them with the first and walked out the second time because the owner would not chip in money for renovations
He redid the Dugout but walked out of the grand opening after the owner showed up drunk O face and Black Light are the only ones he walked out of without renovations
Congrats to hideaway for completing the tally
@@joshuaseba3077hideaway had no decent staff either compared to oface who at least had decent people that I can tolerate
once the drink goes down we refill it
@@sportsfan09yt good luck on your corner
The town drunk that's sad good job Jon Taffer
I'm glad that Jon Teffer left those four employees because they should of just be honest and telling the truth and they did deserve that because they all was lying to Jon Teffer
In that last clip, they are definitely enabling his drinking. Since one of the bartenders called him the town drunk to his team, why be afraid to say it after he showed them footage of her saying it? But Jon is the liar? Lol.
Man, Jon is just amazing for real XD
Bar Rescue should make an updated version of their video called "5 Times John Taffer Walked Out" and add this clip. Here's how I'd rate these bars in an updated video like that from worst to least worst on a scale to 1-5:
1. O' Face - Abuse (That bar is still #1 for me. Seriously, how that bar is still open after all these years is beyond me.)
2. Second Base - Cheapskate
3. Hideaway - Lying
4. Black Light District - Ego
5. Dug Out - Alcoholism & Apathy
The last one confused me greatly.
How is confronting someone about an unhealthy lifestyle turning your back on them? Messed up priorities.
Bar Down the Dwayne!
The son ruining his dads business is so sad.
The Second Base re-rescue episode really made me mad. Paying off debt is important, but you also need to add money to the business and not just expect it to work itself out.
22:48 i cracked up as wwatching this part 😂
I feel so bad for all of Jon's poor recon specialists with what they had to deal with!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I only know about the Fifth being closed because I drove by there one night several months ago and it was boarded up like they're getting ready to demolish it.
He walked away from the newly renovated Dugout and left Black Light District because the owner didn't want him there.
O'Face - Walked
Second Base - Walked
Black Light - Asked to leave before he could walk
Dugout - Remodeled then walked away
Hideaway - Walked
Yeah 4 1/2 sounds right.
I do have to say whoever they hire to design their bars make them look like the most uncomfortable places to be usually. Like the default setting where kyle the sports bro with a pocket full of pills would be hanging out.
The last bar closed 3.5 months after the episode was filmed. Pride goes before a fall.
12:04 another Jon Slaper rap moment
Everyone's business and staff should be fired and fined by their respective states for osha violations and foul business practices
Brad 10000% showing signs of early dementia
Why are all the bars on this show as bright as the surface of the sun
Jon is the best
The last one showing him a video of his own wife snitching on him behind the scenes speaks volumes. I wouldn't be surprised if their divorced by now.
Jon has such epic insults !!
If I got roasted by Jon Taffer, in a good way, I’d rather follow his advice to succeed.
Amanda must be fired without pay for ever
After Jon permanently walked out on those losers, they fired Cerissa (I can't remember how that's spelled) and rehired Amanda. Those people were so disgusting that it was Jon's first ever refusal to rescue a bar in 30 years. Only Cerissa and Syk the security guard were decent people.
@@WarGrowlmon18 syck got fired
Some should do Jon Taffer's walkouts with all the essential information for the viewers to see
I’d say these failing owners are like Icarus flying too close to the sun; but I can’t. Their egos, arrogance, delusions and irresponsibility are on par with Icarus flying INTO the Sun (total 180 & playing chicken with it); making their downfalls all too deserving.
Drunks don't make good bar owners ... peroid!!
Jon gives you a chance to do things right, and you don't, its time to go!
had SNL made a bar rescue parody where jon taffer has to save the mos eisley bar on tatooine?
Thats a oddly dressed medic lol
It’s more like 4 times Jon Taffer walked out
I feel...my opinion Brad is worn out and tired... let his daughters take over.
The last clip really pissed me off. The employees really just sat there and lied straight to Jon’s face. Snitches may get stitches but failures get their lives ruined and they take those around them down with them too if you let them
