I realise this is an Inverse Konosuba, instead of it being the dude carrying the party the party carries the dude
I'd rather be in Yuuki's place than in Kazuma's tbh. At least I'm tough as nails and the party are the ones carrying (not that they mind since his abilities are more of a support), than the one who carries the party and death isn't even an escape.

Going by YT clips, he appears to be mentally retarded. I mean, without trying to be a dick or exaggerating, taking care of him is like taking care of special ed kids, wtf; but lol, harem protags are too often rather spineless and/or kind of dumb, or overpowered/too smart, so this one is outright mentally handicapped to break the status quo. I don't find it amusing that much as long as the show doesn't focus too much on him. I want to watch this series eventually.
Reminds me of Shiina "the pet girlfriend" from Sakuraso: not just another kuudere babe but straight up mentally handicapped just to push things a little too far. It is a crappy anime regardless. At least she is a savant: though mentally handicapped, she is highly capable in certain things, Shiina rules at painting or drawing, if I recall correctly.
But the hero is supposed to be the players. So we are what we needed?

@@Emiturbina I was about to say that I found out after watching an adoring this show that it was based on a game and the reason the main character is the way he is is because it's based on the fact that he's the player character from the game it's like the show is retroactively telling you that you're a dumbass

I always loved the concept of “putting everything into defense so you become a meat shield and provoke everything since your hp is so high”
If you do, you *really* need to watch 'Bofuri' - an anime with that exact concept. In my opinion, the show is a clear 10/10 from how purely enjoyable it is to watch.

@@damon2303 well, iirc the previous game (Obviously Priconne without Re:Dive), Yuuki was an excellent strategist and a gaming genius with a slightly weird personality (Kyouka remarked it). He can put a fight on his own despite being a buffer for the girls to use their Special Moves back then. Here he just reduced to a child-like state because of Kyaru's Misstress (Kaiser Insight, or you can say his true name Senri Mana) so he's here to buff.
He ain't overpowered, just a brilliant strategist XD

I watched the anime for the same reason.
It is... ok...
But they crammed so many characters is hard to get invested. Especially when some of the characters are actually fun and could be fun arcs to have, but are kins of used 1 or 2 times

When I first saw this anime I thought it was gonna be another one of those Isekai protags who effortlessly gets a harem
But rather than a harem the main cast feels more like three moms taking care of their manchild...
The situation the main cast is in is the exact opposite of Konosuba
Some people just like to be manchild
It felt more like 3 experienced players carrying someone who’s a beginner and has bad wifi.
That's what makes the show so great.
