  • UKRAINIAN officials say they will destroy Vladimir Putin's most beloved bridge by mid-July - giving them roughly 100 days to pull off the near-impossible.
Raining hell on the £3billion structure with Storm Shadow missiles, sea drones and newly arrived F-16s could finally sever Russia's only land bridge to Crimea, a weapons expert told The Sun.

Hodges blames President Biden (thinly veiled by "the administration"), while remaining willfully ignorant of one Republican in Congress.
...As well as 4 years of the conflict being ignored by yet another "republican" (aka "emotionally-stunted manbaby BFF of Putin")
footnote: for every Republican President, it takes 8 years to clean up the mess.
(Hillary would have left the Russian Runt in the back corner, wearing a dunce hat; If Putin hates you, you're obviously doing something right) As for President Obama: Moscow Mitch.

The decimation of the Crimean bridge will change the outcome of the war. Regardless of how well the Russians defend the bridge. It’s too important on all accounts: historicallly, symbolically and logistically. A huge morale booster 🇺🇦 and a turning point in the war if the bridge is destroyed to the point of non-serviceable for the foreseeable future.
Ukraine never wanted the bridge there and bickered with Russia about the location. Russia obviously had deeper concerns and uses for the public thoroughfare as a bridge. The merits of a bridge to connect two land masses died on February 24, 2022 when Putin invaded and attacked Ukraine, likewise on February 16, 2024 after the assassination and poisoning death of Alexi Navalny. In another 50 years a bridge might get discussed if Russia and the citizens ever realize the future lies in hopes not in battle, nor buried in the past of socialist philosophies of Trotsky, advocated by Lenin, promulgated by Joseph Stalin and weaponized by Putin as a postulate of widening Western Imperialism and cultural values not withstanding.

The bridge only has civilian traffic on it now since the railroad line has been completed in eastern Ukraine to supply the Russians. They would be attacking a civilian target. Nothing would be affected by this except the possibility of killing civilians traveling on the bridge.

@@AndyM_323YYY because they are engaged in a conflict doesn't mean the entire economy should grind to a halt, that would be a recipe for disaster and would be the end of Putin's career. The repair of the contributes to job creation and GDP growth which is very much needed now considering the current situation with sanctions and all. Apart from exclusive military assets, nearly every other civilian asset can serve a military purpose be it roads, bridges, hospitals etc. so keeping as much infrastructure intact would likely be in Russia's favour as they could serve military purposes in future. That doesn't make them military assets
