How I wish there could be more videos just like this on every instrument, because I'm always trying to compare instruments to see specifically what the ranges are. I believe that you have done a great job that I imagine that others admire your work. You should be very proud of yourself, because it is very well detailed. I see your woodind obsessed haha. So, do you play all woodind instruments? If so, you should try making a video like this of each one. Keep it up.
Also are you going to make a series with this type of videos for all the woodwinds I’m just wondering are you going to collect all the most common woodwind instruments? I’m just wondering that’s all. And yes I am going for mostly the typical wind instruments for concert band both brass and woodwinds!. And I suppose are collecting just woodwind instruments right??
you've never seen a student start out on piccolo? i must be a first. i own a few different instruments and my first and currently only flute is a piccolo
Hey great video! Just ordered a bass flute and couldn’t help but notice the stand you’re using. I’m familiar with that brand and was wondering if you used the alto flute stand for the bass flute as I couldn’t find a variety of “bass flute stands”. If so, is it snug or does it have room to wiggle? Best, Love Cast
Hey, thank you! The stand I used in this video was the alto flute stand, and it indeed did give me too much wobble whenever I attempted to use it for my bass flute. The new stand I purchased has spots for each of my flutes (except for piccolo). The bass flute stand on this model is much more snug and sturdy. a.co/d/07M7wywj
@@ryanwilk1642 Unfortunately, not a nice one. It is a Chinese branded bass flute, but was completely overhauled by a technician before being sold to me. Intonation isn’t the best on it, but it was a great deal and I love it! It plays surprisingly easy in the low to mid register. I’ll actually be doing a full review on it in the upcoming months!
When you said “my name is Colton and I’m woodwind obsessed” I felt that
It’s the best obsession in the world!
Welcome back glad to see your making some videos now and then!. Great video.
Thanks!
I also hope that you have the entire saxophone and clarinet family
Sadly not yet:( still working on those! I have 3 clarinets out of 5, and 1 sax out of 4.
It's Bb3 on the Bb flute.
It’s a C flute; not a Bb flute. I really do need to practice using the ASPN though. It would’ve helped me so much in past band classes.

The Db piccolo is the highest pitched in the flute family. ;)

Yup! Just woodwinds! Once I complete my saxophone and clarinet collections, I’ll do videos for them as well!
@@woodwindobsessed awesome I’m sure looking forward to it.
Low C = C4 on the piano, or B3 if you have a B Foot
Hey I need a stand for a beginner flute can you send me a link
Another name for the key of C is concert pitched or the same as a piano usually.
You should do an instrument collection every time you get a new instrument

Good sound on them buti think there are some intonation issues between the instruments
Mainly meaning your C flute is sharp
There is a piece called Winter dreams which is a band piece with an alto flute
Yeah I completely forgot to tune before the video. Shame on me lol.
@@woodwindobsessed What brand is your Bass flute?
