      Hello 👋 I just watched your video on the nails & and calluses. I noticed that you need to trim up your beard to match up, and you / people won't be able to see through it.

    Never thought rubbing and scratching my beard hairs and my face skin with my... fingernails?! No. Fingertips and palms, on the other hand, yeah, but i guess that's different. Also, i keep my nails quite trimmed and neat and as short as possible, also as clean as possible. Our nails and fingers I guess deserve a similar health care as our beard-beasts do.
    Btw, I just wash and put some oil on my beard daily at least.

    on a more serious note, this is a great reminder to pay close attention to anything interacting with the beard. We work so hard and spend so much money to keep our beard solid, its important to find anything that could throw a wrench in the progress that we may not be aware of. scheduling manicure now. lol

    If you are taking biotin and collagen supplements or anything heavy in those essential B vitamins, this is something you should be taking care of regularly. I've noticed the frequency of clipping my nails and the need to nourish my hands and skin since I started those. It's just like with the good tools we use, the right combs or brushes, the right oil and butter... your hands are also tools. Keeping them top notch is important for the beard and obviously overall health.

    Here's a weird one for ya. My beard doesn't seem to want to absorb anything like oils, it seems like it just sticks to my hands and nothing gets in my beard.

    • @DanCBearded
      @DanCBearded  2 месяца назад +2

      Interesting! Are you washing daily and one of those days using a stripping wash? It is possible you have extremely low porosity hair, but still should absorb. Make sure to lean toward thin viscosity oils

      @@DanCBearded I wash daily, I'm using King C. Gelette currently. But have used like Everyman Jack and Old spice. I use Everyman Jack Beard oil every once in a while and sometimes beard butter. I'm not too familiar with other things like "stripping wash" and the viscosity of what I'm using.

      Hey Nick, If I can give you some humble advice: Avoid Gillette king c beard shampoo because of the ingredients that are not good in the ingredient list. I would rather recommend true north co daily beard wash, EDC beard wash, Johnnie ray beard wash, dr nicks beard wash, beard octane beard wash. Great daily beard washes. With good ph suitable for the beard. The true north. Earn co daily wash is a game changer.
      By the way, I've you tried carrot oil ?

      @@NickBEADG so your issue there is terrible to low quality products. Using proper products would make all of the difference in the world. Old spice is nearly all silicones and they do not absorb, really ever

      As long as they are not sharp and jagged, you are fine! The regular use of beard butter and oil can really help just by doing what you do with your beard
