Thank you. Your tip about securing the micro switch just saved my life. This pedal has become my secret weapon. Literally this and my turner are my must have live pedals. Here is how I use mine… SETTINGS: Q control 0, Volume 10, Boost engaged, internal pot adjusted slightly so there is zero lag when disengaging the pedal. These setting work perfect as a solo boost into a mild to medium driven Marshall (Jubilee for me). The lack of Q is subtle enough to not feel too wah wah unless I’m rocking the pedal back and forth. Combined with the dimed boost it has a mid range cut that pop out of the mix, gives more drive, and more sustain. No need for additional boost pedals if you want a super simple set up. Idk for me it makes solos jump out and come alive without sounding too wah if that makes sense. The spring loaded nature of this wah makes live performance so easy. No worries about switching it on or off. When people ask me about my lead tone they are shocked when I say it’s a wah that does it all. Give it a try.
his is a cool pedal and I would have bought one if I knew Crybaby made an automatic off. That said I have Morley Wild Horsie and similar to the above, I bypassed all of the switches and tone and volume pots so it is always "on" (when a foot hits it) instantly, and the tone setting I hard-wired into it does give it just a small volume boost when engaged. This means I can play it in the middle of a song and get a cut-through solo wah tone without using a separate boost pedal.
your intro riff instantly I thought it sounded like a maggot brain improve to me by Funkadelics and it was fucking AMAZING. and if it wasn't please post a video of you playing too a back track of it or loop cuz you'd destroy it
Good review! I love how this wah is instant on and you can bring it in and out of solos easily. One thing though. I haven't had one of these in years. Do you find it cuts a mix OK? I hate since I use a lot of gain, a boost on my wah, doesn't add volume. I need a wah to stand out of the mix, so I am considering the Petrucci wah with EQ or the Teese RMC-8 EQWah. Thoughts? Thanks!
The great thing about the 95Q is the boost switch and Q switch. The Q switch allows you to tailor the sweep. I actually set mine very conservative so that it just the mix better. Also, the gain selection allows you to add signal gain (when the wah is on). I leave that off as I have found that it just messes up my gain staging in front of the amp. Also, sorry this is so late. Cheers!
@@lancereeder146 Lance, great video on your take on the 95Q wah. I have a video posted on my RUclips page of some mods I did to the circuit. I think you’d really dig it. Would mean a lot if you check it out! Thanks! 🤘🤘
Thanks Lance ! Any experience with lubing the rocker pot? I cant seem to find an opening to spray it in. Also, does your unit have a smidge of free play in the rocking before the wah effect actually kicks in? Cheers!
In order to lube the rocker you will need to take the back plate off. There is some room that way but you may have to get it from both sides with a cotton swab. I have not noticed any latency for "on" on a 95Q (I have had a few), but there is a small delay for the effect to come of once you let off the pedal.

That’s how I use my 95Q. It’s sooooo good. Check my full comment for settings and breakdown. This Crybaby is also one of the cheaper models too.

Great suggestions 👍 And because of you i just bought one 😉
I replaced the rubber feet with #6x1/4" flathead screws so it will velcro to a flat board
Lots of great info. Thank you
Great review , can be left in the half cocked position without having to keep your foot on it? I use that mode often.
Nope. It is spring loaded so you'd have to hold tension with your foot on it.
how much does it cost?

Also, sorry this reply is so late. My YT skills are weak.
I heard its Kirk Hammetts first wah pedal. Does anybody knows is that true?
This model have the red fasel stock?… saludos de Chile
Estoy en la misma, he leido en algunos sitios que si lo tiene. Tu pudiste averiguar? Estoy entre este y el cgb95. Saludos desde Valpo
I love mine.
Finaly someone that uses it the "right" way. All others just do the wah on every single note. Irritating!!
