Casa is low cost deposits compare to fds, higher casa banks will give more advances to public there by interest income will increases
CA: current account used mainly for business purposes.
SA: Saving account used for general purposes

To encourage saving habits among people banks introduced demand deposits and term deposits.
Demand Deposits are Savings account and Current account.
Savings account is for individuals and bank will pay interest. Where Current account product is most suitable for businesses and bank will not pay any interest and normal people can open current account also.
Term deposits are Fixed deposit and Recurring deposit.
Fixed Deposit is the where amount is deposited fixed for certain time period at a certain rate of interest. Min period is 7 days and maximum 10 years. It is low risk product.
Recurring deposit is where person should deposit nominal amount in recurring intervals and rate of interest is not fixed it fluctuates up and down. Min period is 6months and maximum period is 10years. It is high risk product.
CASA RATIO is determined by CASA Deposits / Total deposits.
Banks maintaing higher CASA Ratio means banks maintaining profits.
Importance of CASA
Less interst or no interst

Casa stands for current account savings account. Casa ratio is the ratio of the current account and savings account to the total deposits of a bank.
Better the casa ratio better the net interest income of the bank and thus profitability of the bank increase.
Sbi Casa ratio is around 46%
Sbi Total deposits = 38 lakh crore
Sbi Total Casa = 17 lakh crore
Casa ratio = 17/38× 100 = 46%

In the interview call letter of sbi po in the documents to be brought ,it is mentioned that
"Character certificate issued by head of last school/college attended"
Does this mean,a candidate who completed graduation, its enough to bring character certificate from his school??? Or it says to bring it from school if that candidate education is only till and from college if candidate education is of college level
