1.cross cheque -two parral line placed -payment routed through account -amount cannot paid in counter
2.open cheque -no parallal line .counter payment
3.orderer cheque or bearer cheque-if bearer name mentioned then no identity proof .any person holding check can get payment .
if orderer -then identity has to be proved or Identity is transferred through endosement or delivery .

In a Crossed cheque, the amount is routed directly to the bank account of the payee whereas, in an Open cheque, the amount can be routed through cash counters.
An Order cheque requires payee to prove his/her identity before the amount is disbursed whereas, a Bearer cheque doesn't require payee to prove his/her identity, in fact, it can be used by anyone who presents this cheque to the bank.
