My Father was a trucker for 40 years and showed me that I needed to file a grove around the axle near the cap, reason being that when your axle breaks it will break at the file point, he told me when they were moving rigs they would break axles all the time, the worst was on the 4640 top drive diffs, he just said you only ever forgot to file the axle once cause it was a major tear down to retrieve the axle stub out of the diff, The best is the older Mack trucks cause they uses a floating drive axle,
That's really good nothing else but you know how much force it takes to snap one of them axles wow glad you are getting it fixed and back on the road stay safe
Worked on trucks for 35 years.....would never advise anyone to do what you did, That said if you pulled the axles and driveshaft I would tell you to drive it wherever if empty and don’t jerk it around as you’re running on power divider only....Good luck in the new year. Enjoy your videos
Glad she is up and running! I'm usually local but taking a milling machine from Hagerstown MD to Piedmont SC tomorrow. Hoping the motor holds up 2 more weeks until my daycab is finished 💪
Always good to have folks that treat you right, do good work, and are reasonable on their prices. I got some good friends who live in and around Robertsdale. I pray we all have a good 2021. Blessings to you and your family.
I used to stop there in 2002 when we were moving D8's from Nola to Miami They had damn good homemade onion rings on a onion ring tower and home made coconut cream pie
Big sigh of relief that it was just a broken axle good to see you back on the road still smiling you have a great attitude towards things cant wait till your next load snd video all the best fot 2021 from morebattle south Scotland
Been there done that, drove 13 hrs from ohio to northern PA for a concrete pump job and had my heavy haul kw and front axle broke , so pumped job, drove to hotel and drove back to ohio the next day and my mechanic was like your damn lucky
Damn Brother l was starting to have Heavy Hauling Nation withdraws without No Video's lol 😆😆😆 Really Happy everything Worked out for You Hope that your Holidays were Awesome Becareful and Safe Driving on the Roads Take Care Brother Enjoy your Trip
You inspired me to make it a goal to join heavy haul....I’m in flatbed and I am within reach...I went from doing my research in trucking, made it a mission to get my CDL, joined a trucking company that’s big on safety and reliable equipment to get my experience on routes, strapping, permits, and much more. You can do anything if you really want it and put your mind to it. I will eventually create my you tube channel but really want to THANK YOU FOR THE INSPIRATION BROTHER.
Erik glad everything worked out for you, I was wondering when you were going to do another video I look forward to seeing more videos in2021. Hey also you never announced who you were going to haul for surprise us let us know how happy you are to move on.
I've been told that when you've dodged a bullet like that you had more luck than brains so nuff said. Awaiting more videos when they are ready and Good Luck down the road.
Everytime I’m there me and my buddy AJ (my mechanic) and my other buddy Brent from the shop go over there and shoot on their days off! In fact I left one of my 12 gauges with my buddy so I always have a gun to go shooting when I’m in town!
I do all my own repair work for our trucks, including engine overhauls. They treated you very well. More than can be said for most shops on the road. Btw I would have driven it to a shop I trusted. If it didn't grenade in 10 miles it will go 1000 on a break like that. Usually anyway.😉👍
I spent the whole video wandering if you’d been there and were heading home this past Wednesday the 6th. Could have sworn I saw your truck and trailer rolling eastbound where I was going west towards my next pickup
Naw. I made it home for Christmas and New Years! I didn’t leave the house until the 6th and now I’m back in Robertsdale at the shop waiting to get my load this week!
Broken axle isn't bad. On my daily driver, I went for at least a month before I got around to fixing it. Worst part was I think I had the part for awhile, and I just didn't want to waste the time to fix it then. The worst part was that with one axle able to free spin, I couldn't park on an incline without it rolling. Minor details, I drove for over a year with reverse, which is a little more challenging.
Just curious, what was going on when the axle broke? Wet boot on clutch pedal? Haha!, kidding but were you in a high torque situation, or wheel spinning? Very cool content, looks like very interesting work. I have 30+ yrs gas tanker work... R G N work looks like more fun... still out in the weather, but...
Scary thought, when the repair shop gives you a personal parking spot they are expecting you to come back often.... I thought the goal was to stay away from repair shops ... haha haha....
Lol. I was wondering. Like I said last video. I've chained up the rear axle and removed the rear driveshaft before. Gotta do what ya gotta do. Good job
@@HeavyHaulNation i don't know anyone. I will if i can get someone. I called my company they can't help me. I need to go home to get a new truck & i don't want to leave this truck behind.
I'm sure that he's going to get right on that just to suit you!! where the hell do people like you come from when they try to keep telling people what to do with their channels??? If you don't like the music then turn the volume down if you don't like the channel then don't watch it if you like certain music put your own goddamn music on!!! GTFOOH!!!
Glad you made it glad you have a shop you can trust that is very important.

Happy Holidays and it was a Blessing it was just an axle and the way it broke it didn’t damage nothing else after the 1,000 miles. Safe Travels✌🏽

Happy new year...welcome back...safe journey...all the best...yes sir
Why’s the live stream video private or am I missing something love the content
Happy New Year to you Erik, I am very happy that "Outcast" is back on the road.
Love the silver metallic lube oil!!! Lol. Better than a ring and pinion failure.
Because the Road assist or the wrecker nock your head.
Be safe

I don't see how 21 is gonna be any better with Chyna Joe in office
Not a bad price 🇺🇸 for a big repair
Hope you had a nice holiday Erik, i had a nice 18 day break, now hitting it hard again. Take care buddy!! 🚛🚛
I worked for a heavy haul company out of Montana that would change the pumpkins out every 100k to 150k miles whether it needed it or not
Good for you, brother!
Impressive.

You' re in my area. We go to Styx River shooting range weekly. Its down that road across the street from the Oasis.

@@HeavyHaulNation We shoot a few rounds of skeet a week there. Good times. Hard to find cheap 12 g right now though.
Beautiful rig
Glad it wasnt worse. Old Man upstairs looking out for ya
Yes he was...
Heeeeeey you back .😅😅 💪💪

Good afternoon
Happy New year for you and your family.

You are very very lucky
That was an easy fix. I thought it would be something worse.
Santa came early and gave you a broke axle instead of a differential 😂
Love the videos, what kind of camera do you use in the truck
Gopros
Yeah them trucks are a lot of money if I owned one I just wouldn't let anybody work on them a good diesel mechanic is hard to find
Didn't know you be in my area. Be looking for you on the road
Were we a little heavy on the clutch to snap an axle like that?
Wasn’t on the clutch backed into a building and the trailer high centered the top of the ramp
Who are you leased to now?
Which idea did you use to make it to the shop?
Locked in the diff lock and rolled on!
Lol. I was wondering. Like I said last video. I've chained up the rear axle and removed the rear driveshaft before. Gotta do what ya gotta do. Good job
Eric where are you come on man where’s the videos? Missing your videos are you back out trucking?
How fast do the truck go
Yes--because it wasn't a power divider or a main bull gear. Luccky
Yup I was correct ..Lol
Robertsdale, you're way down in LA.
Alabama.
Love your videos but would rather hear the engine than the music in the background
Hi
Drivers, I'm in Cincinnati, OH. how do i get a step deck to take a freightliner century to Tampa, FL for me?
Pay a driver
