Crabtree Falls - NC Blue Ridge Parkway MP 339.5

Slide & Video. Part of our fall 2008 NC mountain vacation. Crabtree Falls, with a 60 foot plunge is located about 4.5 miles S/W of Little Switzerland, NC, on the Blue Ridge Parkway, in the Grabtree Meadows Recreation area. The fog was very thick this morning (30-50 ft vis.) and driving the parkway was a little scary.

Falling creek Falls near Lake City is one of my favorite waterfalls......I have been to waterfalls in the Carolinas. Georgia, and Alabama, but I love Falling Crek Falls it is really cool when the water is up....also there are several small waterfalls that flow into the Suwanee...one of my favorite rivers!
