The PSP version's performance here is a dead giveaway that it's running on an emulator. On an actual PSP you wouldn't have it anywhere close to 30fps.
He's overclocking it to 333mhz, the psp version is only running at 20-25 fps, this is totally possible on a PSP.

the ps2 version is also emulated (pcsx2 on hardware renderer?), the broken motion blur and headlights is a dead giveaway
Also PSP's umd version has astrocious loading time. Currently playing it in my US copy.
@@sunray2818 This is true, although only if you play it straight from the UMD. Rip it to an ISO on a modded PSP using isotool and you'll get vastly superior load times even on a stock PSP.

The Xbox version is the ultimate version
Obviously there are differences... but it's incredible to see how well the PSP and PS2 versions hold up against the Xbox version. Resulting in a very polished game with great effects and details on all its platforms.

Ps2 version is the best one. I like the xbox the most, bc of the trigger controllers but ps2 has the best camera angle, and has working headlights. That makes driving at night immersive af.
Weird that xbox didnt get a full port
Headlights are missing because he runs the game on a jailbroken Xbox 360
He's certainly not running the game on an original Xbox, I tried it on my modded gen 1 and it's alright, but I do have to say Xbox version bascially has no upgrade visually when compared to PS2.
Xbox classic has sound better than PS2. PSP this worst sound quality
@@romarioraceryt The ps2 can have decent sound due to its Digital Optical input. If you get one of those cables for PS2 and put it in your TV, the sound quality is increased by quite a lot.

But PS2 was only 480i, there was no 480p option, alson on the Xbox, there was the widescreen option available, but not on the PS2

I’ve played the standard Midnight Club 3 on PS2 and firsthand it looked pretty good for the time overall. Once I got the Remix edition I noticed the car showroom seemed to lag quite a lot when cycling vehicles! (Over 100!!)
I have yet to seek an Xbox copy of the game to see if it performs better frame rate-wise, not that it ever bothered me as I’d spend more time racing than looking through each vehicle one by one (frame rate never felt different whilst driving), graphically though they do look almost identical. Perhaps the Xbox was more superior on frame rate?
@@real_swiftydragon It can do that, it seems to be random when it happens. Funny enough, the frame drops are in menus and not in the gameplay which always confused me.
@@ChozoBrain probably because MC3 Remix is a very large game for its type at the time. This was before the age of DLCs and game updates for stability patches with additional content, packaged on a single disc are 4 fairly sized open world city maps and over 100 different vehicles so the menus might be choppy since its having to load all the assets mostly at once whereas gameplay is smooth since what’s needed is already loaded in.
@@real_swiftydragon Actually I cleared both versions, Xbox version drops framerate badly as well, this game is made with PS2 in mind and some subtle effects are missing on Xbox, also not very well optimized for the platform.
