    Product description Dainese Axial D1 Black White
    Dainese Axial D1 Black White boots are the successors of the top race boot Axial pro in. These boots are worn by the best riders like Valentino Rossi, Iannone and Espargaró. In developing this boot a lot of time and attention has been put into achieving optimal protection and comfort. They are designed to excellently withstand shock and abrasion. This way they offer the foot and ankle optimal protection. The tight fit, flexibility and weight of the boot add a lot to the comfort that the boot offers. On the outside some changes have been made to the Axial D1 design compared to the Axial pro in. The stripes in the design are finer. The toe slider is made of magnesium. The Velcro has been improved. And aramid is applied for reinforcement on the outside. The only thing that disappointed us is that no major changes have been made in relation to its predecessor. The point is that these were by far the best racing boots on the market. The lack of larger changes is reflected by the price. The new Axial D1 therefore costs as much as its predecessor.
    Material Dainese Axial D1 Black White
    The components of the D-Axial system consist of a mix of Kevlar and Carbon. The top of the boot that disappears in the pants is made of D-stone material. A hardwearing nylon fabric. The sole is made of rubber and there is a steel reinforcement in the heel. On the outside of the toes is a Magnesium reinforcement that also serves as a slider. This toe slider can be replaced. The toes and heel are reinforced with nylon inside. The boot is attached to the inside of a pair of trousers using Velcro. This Velcro has been improved so that no damage is caused to the inside of the pants. The outside of the boot is made of Lorica, wear-resistant polyamide microfibre and aramid.
    Protection Dainese Axial D1 Black White
    The D-Axial system counteracts twisting of the ankle and forms a close-fitting protection around the foot and ankle. The sole is shock-absorbent and has a steel insert at the heel. The boot forms a whole with the pants or suit so that it offers maximum protection. There is suede protection on the boot to provide protection against the heat of the engine.
    Comfort Dainese Axial D1 Black White
    The boot is provided on the inside with a Speed Lacing System. This makes it possible to fasten the laces quickly and tightly. The boot also has a long zipper at the back which results in an easy entry. The boot is flexible thanks to the elastic parts and makes it perfectly possible to walk short distances. This is also thanks to the flexibility of the D-Axial system. Furthermore, the boot offers great comfort through the breathable inner lining (Double jersey airgap).
    Other Dainese Axial D1 Black White
    Unlike its predecessor, the Axial D1 boot is now also available in a ventilated version. The magnesium toe sliders can be replaced and a screw key set is supplied as standard. These can also be ordered separately when worn, so your boot will always look good. The price for the Axial D1 has not changed compared to the Axial pro.

    Just bought these today. They fit like a glove. I was originally going for the Torque D1 Air’s, but they were really uncomfortable with my foot. These Axial D1 Air’s are so freakin comfy. Worth every penny if it prevents an injury from a crash too. Did I mention the fit and finish?!? Good god! I’m sitting here just holding these things. They’re an incredible piece of engineering!

      That's why they get used in the Moto GP! Great to hear though. Have you had a chance to test out the toe slider yet?

    I have heard they run half size small..is it true or should I buy the same size as my other dainese boots?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  4 года назад

      For the Axial D1 boots, the best thing to do is to make sure to measure and find your size according to Dainese's size chart for these boots. Though the boots should fit the same as most other Dainese boots, it may still be a good idea to size up since Dainese does usually run small. Thanks for the question!

      I find they run slightly larger. I normally wear size 45, sometimes 46. In these, 45 fits, but it is tiny bit looser than I would expect. Troque D1 of the same size is a bit more snug. This can be regulated by putting in a thicker insole from Decathlon, or wearing warmer socks.

    how much do the new ones weigh out of curiosity

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  4 года назад

      The Dainese Axial D1 boots weigh about 875 grams, though this may vary according to the shoe size. Thanks for the question!

    Will they work wit non Dainese suits???

    • @Championhelmets

      While it may depend on what suit you have in mind, as a general rule these types of suit to boot and jacket to pants compatibilities are brand specific. Thanks for the question!

      Champion Helmets great, but I think I’m going to have to go for the Dainese OUT and not IN. Can’t afford a new suit!!

      @@johnparroccini5705 That's fair enough, and either way, the Axial boots do great for comfort. Thanks for the reply!

    How do they fit?

    • @Championhelmets
      @Championhelmets  3 года назад +1

      As a European brand, Dainese boots generally fit on the slimmer side with a narrow foot bed. So, the best course of action is to check the boot size chart and (if possible) try them on in a local store.
      Thanks for the question!
      What are your thoughts on the Dainese Axial boots?

      They fit really well. I wouldn’t go one size up because the leather will expand after the first summer. Buy them in your tennis shoe size and wear thin cotton socks. It should be alright. FYI use the size of your tennis shoes in centimeters because uk and us sizes changes between brands.

    The air version of anything foot related is quite stupid especially in wet weather this boot is also not waterproof either so simply a double whammy fail,I would never ever choose the holed boot so I don't need to turn into a duck 🦆 in any rain whatsoever let alone the downpour deluge & once any boot gets completely soaked waterlogged you can say goodbye to any form of longevity and the deathnill of the boot , Can't believe they simply wouldn't waterproof the thing, talk about again a huge failure.
