Sorry to miss this live but grateful for the replay. This was so insightful and specific. It’s really helped my playing. Thank you for putting so much thought into teaching us.
Another smashing lesson Christopher - really helpful and engaging. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forwards to the Django-inspired sessions in the Tinman ukulele club this month.
Returning to concur with the learning and live chat replay-sometimes while in the zone I fall into this state of mind and muscle relaaaax and I feel my swing as an organic thang. It reminds me of dancing when really into the groove musically, where my shoulders shrug and my feet slide undirected but along with the rhythm. Body as one with instrument and music. Thank you, truly. 🐦
That is also the time when my fingers decide to not clamp down, but calm down ... give the strings some wiggle room. It seems an intuitive move, and I note the chord changes still ring out and the strum rolls with it. Good to know there ain't no need to bruise ourselves or our dance partners by squeezin' those sweet lil' ukuleles. I give you triplet cookie gratitude. 🍪🍪🍪
Pausing video to extend delighted thanks for your fine rendition of My Blue Heaven. Never before has all that fretting made me smile so. Good upon ya, Christopher. 🌛 💟

Thank you for the reminder to relax, I randomly shimmed and shook out my shoulder as I played along with the replay. Breathing too is so important.

Thanks Rob! Check out out 'Oh Lady Be Good' series from last year as well; some more Django in there for you

Yes! I love that, when you're playing naturally it is just like a dance :)

Glad to have the replay. Somehow I got the times wrong for the live session. Anyway, great teaching Chris. Thanks so much!!
That one was on me, I wrote the wrong time in the e-mail!

Ah, I guess I missed the live stream - an hour late it seems. But it's snowing here in Idaho, and I'll watch the stream!
