My daughter and I are backpacking 42 mi of pictured rocks in a couple of months! Very diverse trail, with shipwrecks, lighthouses and sand dunes, even an old 30s or '40s car in the forest
Hello Pops first of all the rock formation and colors are breathtaking .I love your passion for beauty and knowledge .I also wanted to thank you for commenting on your favorite Yes albums Tales is a misunderstood masterpiece .Can you imagine keeping those off times like 7/14 then switching back to 4/4.Anyway thanks for becoming a vlogger I love listening to educated people .Take care Larry from Valley stream.ny on long island
Hubby and I have hiked Pictured Rocks trail (above the rocks) - fun to also see it from the water. Would like to experience it that way next time. I’m always amazed by how the water is the color you often see in the waters of the Caribbean .
Thank you for this tour. It was so beautiful. I have a precariously growing tree in my yard. I planted a Plum tree and while it was growing we had a hurricane that made it lean over real far. I left it alone and 10 years later it still leans. People keep telling me to tie to a winch and straighten it. I love it just the way it is. It survived a hurricane. I'm leaving it just the way it is. Strong. ❤
Nicely done, Pops! Very relaxing, beautiful scenery, informative narration. And "precariously growing trees" to boot...that one with the root reaching across was awesome! I just heard about your channel, and I'm impressed! 😊
Love your channel and your content Pops! By the way, my favorite “ Through my lens“ videos are the Road trips with you and Josh. I watch your Alaska highway video (and associated videos) to wind down at the end of the day before going to bed. “ We made it to the Yukon!!!”
I sat down just in time with a hot cup of cocoa! Wow. I would have never guessed that there was a part of Lake Superior that was actually lake-like! I've only seen clips of it moving like the deep sea ocean! That is by far the most stunning lake shore I've ever seen! I can't wait until I travel to MI for the first time! Thanks, Pop!
So beautiful. Did you have some peach iced tea (also my favorite too) on the boat? BTW, is it just me or @ the 1:45 second mark do you also see a smiling face on the rock that's a little bit to the right of center? :)
By the way, I really like your website! DR Pops! Listened to one of your sermons this weekend & it was great, & most importantly, your paintings re SO GOOD. Do you ever take a canvas to the places you travel to?
Love this video! Very relaxing!
Really appreciate it!
Amazing place. We honeymooned there 5 years ago and are heading back as a family in a few weeks. Munising is a gem with so much to see!
Old and new memories! Really is a beautiful place!
Beautiful!!!!

Thx for watching and being a fellow Yes fan. Haven’t listened in a while but you’ve got me wanting to get my original vinyls out again!
My uncle was a park ranger here in the 90s. I got to go a few times as a kid. I should bring my family there, it's really pretty.
Would love to know what your uncle knows about the park! It seems most of the rangers I’ve met really enjoy their work.
Wow! Being from Calif, I never heard of this area. Some of those colors in the rocks remind me of the desert southwest! Thanks for sharing.
You are so right about the colors! Thx for watching!
Michigan and Wisconsin are 2 of 5 states left I need to visit!! This looks awesome, we will do this! Thanks Pops!!!
I had no idea how beautiful Michigan is. There is so much more there that I need to see too!
What a relaxing video, Pops! 👏🏼
Glad you liked it! The trip was too.
Always wanted to go here, looks amazing!
It really is a unique and beautiful place!

Hahaha! That’s awesome. I have a bunch of pics of trees like that. Thx for watching!
Love sandstone rocks, which are the only aspect that make OC beaches interesting, but these are the most beautiful ones I have ever seen!
They are really cool. I had no idea there was such a thing as a national lakeshore but visiting there I understand why! Thx for watching.

Hahaha I was so excited about visiting the Yukon. Yeah we loved Alaska! Thank you for watching!!
You’re welcome! Keep it up! You’re doing awesome!
Nice video. My wife and I and our 4 kids are visiting there in a few weeks and doing the boat ride. Can’t wait!
You will love it! The hiking trails are interesting and some historical.

I’m so glad you could have a brief restful few minutes to watch that! Superior really is like the ocean. Thanks for watching.
No idea that something like this existed in Michigan. The rock formations are stunning. Thanks for sharing!
Thx for watching. It really is a beautiful spot. Lots of hiking areas too.
Beautiful video! It’s very similar to the Apostle Islands.
Ok cool. I haven’t been there and wondered about that.

Hahaha I see things like that sometimes but sorry I’m not seeing that one! Thx for watching!

Thx so much for the kind words. No we move too quickly to take time to paint and I seem to do best from photos. Thanks for watching!
There’s a happy face on the vertical rock near the waters edge 1:47 into the video.. it was just sitting there smiling for pops’ camera!
I see it!
Isn’t the Indiana Dunes National Seashore now a national park? I think it’s Indiana Dunes National Park now.
You are correct. Indiana Dunes was upgraded from national lakeshore to national park status in February 2019.
Yes of course you are right. I visited many years ago back in the 70s. Need to get my brain updated! Hahaha
