Love these old 2strokes ! Had a Suzi gt750 and Yamaha rd350. Horrible road handling but so much fun ))

I bought a brown 1975 H1 500 in 1978 for $650.00 with 1300 miles on it and drag raced it . those things were quarter mile monsters and I used to win all the time against bikes even KZ 900's in the quarter and then Win against the winning street car , I still have the trophies

Had a 74 version. Scared the shit out of me. Bought it new and put 22k on in five years. Beat every car in a drag I faced for two blocks. Sold it to remain alive.😂. Of course I got the jump on everyone.

🏍🏍 i had an S3 and then the H1 500, amazingly, i didnt kill myself before i switched to the 4 strokes
I used to have an s3 400cc absolutely all original with only thing wrong, shitty pod airfilters and allspeed pipes. The onboard shot Chris brought all of those feelings back, so thanks man you've made my absolute day!

I bought one of these about 20 years ago. It had zero, and I mean zero compression. Some guy offered me twice what i paid for it. Mine was rough but it was still a winner. These early bikes have a following.

I had a 75 z1 900 no wheelies but white smokin the back tire. I ran a 14.10 in the 1/4 mile. Good times. 👍🍺
I believe the crank noise rattle is something to do with the kick start in 2 strokes.
I've had a few RGVs made the same noise at idle.
it still looks cool, doesnt look dated even today
Chris, I have a 72 H2 my 2nd one. That kickstand lean was OEM and required back then. The 73 H1 was the last yr before they rubber mounted the engine, hence more vibration.

My friend and I bought one of those in about 1982, for like 300$. We were in high school. Didn’t have any mufflers on it. I just remember we took turns riding it up and down the highway late at night and man, was that thing loud and fast. Scared us and we didn’t really have any purpose (or licensed) to ride or so it ended up in the barn and who knows where it is today. Weird and cool but not really fun bikes.
Glad to hear you sold it because you desired to, not had to. Could you please consider adding "(SOLD)" to the title like you did for your other vehicles to reduce the likelihood of any confusion? Thanks for posting to help give a market value reference to future sellers!

They came a long way with bikes ....they were called the widow makers due to their power bands , but most modern in lines would eat it for lunch.

Dang I shouldn’t have scrapped the one I had years ago 😂. Original owner burned a piston and parked it. The typical oil injection problem with those. Bike only had like 10k on it too, could have rebuilt it but too late now

@@nnkhmisc The motorcycle did NOT come the factory with those pipes , I lived in the era and can assure you those chambers were Never on any motorcycle on the showroom floor .

I make videos of what's for sale to help people understand what they're buying before showing up. Makes for a seamless transaction. Hope that helps you understand.
