  • The zoo in Batumi is located on Takaishvili str., 2 (right next to May 6 Park and Lake Nurigel, between Lermontov and Haidar Abashidze streets).
Do not confuse the zoo with an open poultry house, which is located on the territory of the primorsky park next to ping pong tables, cafes and nightclubs, not far from the wooden summer theater on Ninoshvili Street and which has ducks, white swans, peacocks, pelicans, guinea fowls and parrots.
The zoo is modest in size and looks more like a spacious zoo. It is divided into three different sectors, while entrance to two of them is free (sectors B and C are home to marsupials and ungulates), and in sector A there are various species of primates and parrots is paid - the entrance fee is 2 lari. However, in the cold season, you can get here for free.
The animals are kept in both open and closed enclosures.
Sector A is home to primates, macaques, lemurs, hamadryads and mandrills. A variety of birds can also be found here, including various species of parrots, vultures, eagles, peacocks and waterfowl.
Animal cages are designed for different weather and seasons.
