فقير في الحياة من الصحاب
And who secures you, O world of dawahi
ومن يأمنك يا دنيا الدواهي
Trample the companion in the dirt
تدوسين المصاحب في التراب
And I wonders who wants you while he knows
وأعجب من مريدك وهو يدري
That you are in awe or admiration
بأنك في الورى أم العجاب
If I did not have a beautiful meaning (the fact that I am a human being, the highest of God’s creatures),
ولولا أن لي معنى جميلاً
I would sell my stay here by leaving it ( this Dunia)
لبعت المكث فيها بالذهاب

وقف فوق القبور فرب ذكرى
You will praise her and shelter in return
ستحمدها وتأوي بالإياب
Flee from the shadows of the earth for a while
تفـيأ مـن ظلال الأرض حيناً
And don't be deceived by the mirage
