Marc, I’m a leftie and I too own this gem of a watch (we both share many blessings from our ADs). It feels wonderful on the right wrist. It’s a breath of fresh air. When I started wearing watches I would switch wrists all the time. Not knowing that there were “rules” for Watch decorum. I’m very comfortable wearing a watch on either wrist. I never forced my brain to choose a side. Whatever felt comfortable that day is where I’d wear my watch. I did notice more dings on the days I wore them on my right wrist. Due to a lack of spatial awareness of that arm. My grail Rolexes in order: Destro GMT, Pepsi GMT, and white dial Daytona. As an owner of all three each play a special role in my collection. But my Destro has my heart.
The reason why the Pepsi bezel is bright red when you hit it with UV light is because Rolex produces those two bezels differently. With the Sprite, and with the Batman for example, they start by coloring the entire piece of ceramic black. Then they dye the bottom half of the black ceramic green, or blue in the Batmans case. With the Pepsi bezel, they start by dying the entire piece of ceramic red, then they dye the top half blue on top of the red. This is why Rolex hasn't quite perfected the saturation of blue on the Pepsi bezel yet. It's technically a muddy combination of red and blue, and I guess they just try to use an overwhelming amount of blue to counteract the base red color. This is also why we had three generations of Pepsi bezels when the watch was first introduced; Rolex was still messing with the process. This is also why, if you put a Batman and a Pepsi next to each other, you will notice just how much brighter and more saturated the blue on the Batman is than on the Pepsi. I hope this helps! Great video Marc!
As a lefty my instinct is to put my watch on the right wrist. If you think about it, it makes sense to wear a watch on the hand that you do not write with. Because all watches are right hand biased, we’ve been conditioned to place watches on our left wrist. While they may have been conditioned instinct is still the right wrist.
Mark. Give it some due diligence but I believe that the new sprite has AR coating making the loom appear to be brighter, due to less glare on the inside of the glass.
As an endoscopist who performs procedures like colonoscopies with extensive flexion and extension of my left hand, the crown doesn't dig into my wrist and works out perfect
Hello. I am also right-handed but after I bought Sprite GMT at my AD, I wear it on my right wrist all the time. I also wear my Tudor Pelagos LHD on my right wrist too. All my other watches such as Daytona, Skydweller, Day-Date, Datejust, Black Bay Pro, Speedmaster, etc. I wear it on my left wrist. Although Rolex does not officially announce Sprite intended for left-handed, it is meant to wear on your right wrist and best suits both visually and functionally.
I recently picked up a new polar from my AD a couple months back and at first the lume on it seemed much weaker than my Pepsi and my Kermit but after a few days it looked the same.
Started my relationship back in 2017, still only managed to purchase 2 other watches from them since…..the “list” is a joke, they chose who they want to sell to….spend, no spend, back handed deals, friend of a friend… they all have their own ways….wish I’d registered for some big hitters that I didn’t really want and just flipped them for big profits and up the spends…..this is what most on the list have been doing for years
@@marcgoldbergdogtrainer just a Pepsi on the oyster. I’d wear it more if I wore long sleeve shirts more often but I’m in LA and I’m always in short sleeve shirts.
Just because it's resale value is high doesn't make it a nice looking watch . If it lost value would people be trying to buy it . Pepsi is a far better looking piece
Lol I am a lefty, I’ve been wearing normal watches on my right hand all my life. I’ve never use a lefty watch so I would feel weird having the crown pointing away
'Those of you who scoffed and said it's a dumb watch will be sorry they didn't try for one'....well, the ones who buy a watch to make money may do that.
Any tips for getting 1? I want the Pepsi but I’ve been waiting 8 months in my state. Flying to Las Vegas where my bro lives to get on the registry there at all of the Rolexes.

I also have the name of the salesperson which i will confront him in person with the serial number to see what he has to say
@@dstjoe explorer 1 or black sub, perfect 1 watch collection. Explorer 2 would be a nice complimentary piece to either of the above or maybe a sea master 300. But that’s just one guys opinion. James & Sons are an exceptional AD , very nice people.

Great insight. Thank you for your comment
@@umq5147 my pleasure, you're welcome!
Wonderful explanation!
personally the blue (purple) and red combo on the pepsi is awful.
I just got my Pepsi from an AD last Friday. It certainly is purplish and pinkish in bright sunlight.
The Pepsi is so unique … that bezel turning red is stunning
I went to an AD last weekend for Pepsi and all I got was "Yeah keep coming back even if you have to drive for 2.5 hours". Such BS.
I mean ... people fly 16 hrs to another place to ask the same question..
The Pepsi is the real Icon here .

"If I hear anything about Pan Am. I'm gonna scream." Hahahaha! Good one!
One thing is for sure , the jubilee bracelet looks amazing 😎
I was lucky enough to get the call for my Sprite a few weeks ago.... After being on the wait list since launch so almost 2.5 years!!!
Regardless of preference, it’s a watch designed to go on the right wrist. No matter if youre a lefty or not.

What takes me to the sprite is the green...I'm a sucker for green bezels...but I'll take the Pepsi if they offered it to me as well.
Favorite - White Meteorite Pepsi, followed by Blue Dial Pepsi

Your watch is not cringy or lame. It’s so desired that it’s tough to wear in many cities. And that’s a shame. But it’s beautiful and highly desired.

Some full set 2021/2022 Batmans are selling below 18k right now. How far down will they go? Who knows.
I’m left handed, but I would still use it on the left that. Thought more people wore watches on there right hand anyway.
What’s a better buy
New Pepsi or a new 2019 hulk
At 19k usd
not wanting to lose more tha.n 10 percent after warring a couple of years

Ebay from a known seller
The sprite is intended to be a one watch collection for the lefty and worn on the right hand.
Is that what you decided?

Sprite

I think once rolex rolls put there cpo program at prices that are crazy high the Grey market will go right back up again.
We need a state of the collection soon! I didn’t know you had a Pepsi too!
Damn, this watch now feels so last season ..
Right handed, right wrist wearer waiting for my sprite to arrive
Love Gmt’s but struggle with getting them to fit with easy link. They are either too snug or too loose never can get it right😆😂
You have to use the micro adjustments under the clasp
Marc, what do you think about the new gen Explorer 2 black dial? I have offered from AD but not sure if it's a great one watch collection. Thanks.
