I think it was a modified Aprilia V4. The first ones certainly were. Norton didn’t have the funds to develop their own V4 unit and managed to screw up reliability on this motor. However long Stuart Garner got jail time for , it was not long enough. A complete shyster.

That is one hell of a sound coming from that V4. If they can bring everything up to the same level, they'll be a force to be reckoned with. The styling is a bit busy; I'd go the R1 route and smooth it out, make it more Moto GP-like, minus the silly aero crap the GP bikes have recently sprouted.
South of Birmingham, place called Solihull. I looked at the goog sat view: Norton Motorcycle Co. Monkspath Business Park. Huge building, plenty of room to make thousands of machines. :D
Think on the racing side they've used the aprilia motor road bikes had their own engines but really is a shame the robbers who ran the place ripped off the customer's lot of money down the drain garner is a rat 😔🐭 he bought into Spondon and mortgaged it to buy Norton and crashed the lot good British engineering ruined
Sold out but delivered very few lot's off disappointed owners paid for the bikes and didn't get anything back from the firm who went bust bloody robbers mate 😒
without a muffler like here every v4 bike sound like this... don't be fooled lol. The road legal version (if there is any) wouldn't come near close to this ...
When up close it does not look cheap the carbon fibre bodywork is beautiful one on ebay 53000 pounds not far off desmodecci money and it's a proven engine in the ducati but with the rip off attitude of the firm is sad but what could have been a great bike range 🤔🍀🏍️
Don't know to many 25 year old people who could afford to have a 44000 pound motorcycle better than a porsche car lot of other people paid for the bikes and didn't get any of them 😕
Sounds like a cammed muscle car. Beautiful 👌
i can't wait to see the tvs xl heavy duty with this engine
😂😂🤣
That'll put trucks out of business
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hein ??
Lmao cringe
This is the best sound I've heard from a motorcycle in my life
Love that v4 sound 😍
You should check a gen3 Magna.
The best sounding bike I have ever heard in my life
Check out the Crighton CR-700W.
700CC rotary, 2 rotor.
JPS Norton rotary is by far the best sounding
Or 85 vmax 1200 sounds almost the same
Goosebumps from that sound...
What a fantastic sound!
Neighbours are gonna love it
Never heard for Norton until 5 mins ago. I saw v4 ss and v4rr I hope they hold tight for the market and stay that beautiful and cool as a bikes.
The screen looks kinda cheap for a £42,000 bike, but otherwise beautiful and it sounds amazing.
it's a smarthtv you can take it to watch netflix too LOL
Looks cheap but its not.... Atleast it works...
Amazing piece of engineering
Sounds INCREDIBLE!
OH I WANT ONE NOW, I HAD NO IDEA NORTON WAS BACK , ! The 850 Commando I rode was incredible!
Great fun -- imagine it with modern tires!!
Tvs bought it....
OMG!?!? Wow!!
Absolutely fucking bananas..... sounds even better than an Aprilia V4 which I thought was the greatest sounding engine of all time.
I think they sound very similar on throttle though, at idle not so much.

it is an aprilia v4
@@ReferenceFidelityComponentsthe race bike originally used an Aprilia engine. The Norton was an all new design. The specs are pretty easy to look up.
@@user-ht8lr4rh7pthese do not use an Aprilia engine. That goes back to when they used an Aprilia engine for their race bike. This is a unique design.
Sounds Raw 👍
Stunning looking thing, shame about all the major faults. Hopefully the new company will make a better job of things and restore the Norton name🤞🏼
What major faults?

Apache rtr v4.
This is not
TVS is just an owner of the brand, they can't make such a bike. They only can make commuters and low displacement motorcycles
@@refanza4300 simply so they bought the brand...😈
@@aryandixit6206 so?

Gorgeous bike, pity about the company screwing over a lot of customers and suppliers... Will you be doing a review on the V4? It'll be good to see.
Now it’s owned by tvs😇
@@srhranil Yeah... Just a pity Skinner is still involved with Norton...
@@waynetowers5046 apparently the scumbag owns the rights to the ss. Hence why he is still there.
@@srhranil yeah tvs a ģarbage motorcycle company.
Beautiful bike. Are they reliable?
I wonder why this bike sounds so distinct compared to other V4s.
It sounds like a high tuned engine.
can you see that screen in all light??
what was the point of the rev at start up. its not carbed
I’m pretty sure Norton used the Aprilia v4 engine ?
You'd be lying to say you didn't smile when she started up and purred.
god damn that bike is bad... it sounds amazing...
Cold start it dude 😢
Wicked!
This is a Monster sound awesome🤔
Mantap
Wow sounds like an American muscle car Charger or Hemi Cuda damnnnn
Well, don't send it back to Norton to get the paint touched up.
Dope.
Are Norton now Motorcycles or custom bikes??

I hate those wings on moto gp bikes but on street legal superbikes it's just ridiculous. Kids and posers seem to love them lol
Idêntic Aprilia rsv4 sound
i want it sooooooo bad
Guaooo q sonido para más hermoso
The 1970s called it wants it's bike back
is it original exhuast sound? or after market exhuast?
It's original option from the norton itself.
Sounds like a V8 car
Now this BRITISH BRAND belongs to TVS
HOPE THIS BRITISH NORTON will rule the indian roads
It it wont rule it will serve
British getting their due back now
That can't be street legal, sounds beautiful.
Beautiful location too..where is it?

It sounds like a dragon in a box.
Sound like Jag
I like everything about this bike, except the chrome chassis. I'm not a fan of Chrome colour.
Oh, it's a motorcycle though it was an old F1 car
Norton motorcycles are now owned by TVS motors
Slimmer looking version of my t595.
Norton V4 my arse. Aprillia engine I believe. Even the stickers probably came from another country !. Stuart Garner is a complete knob.
You're right, an Aprilia RSV4 engine in what looks like a Spondon frame.

Mongrel Motorcycle 🏍 ride local ..
The race bikes used the Aprilia engine. The "production" bikes were going to use an in-house V4.
omg...hang on...gotta change pants...😂😂
Do Norton still manufacture these superbikes?
Gone bust
They never did really.
Sold out but delivered very few lot's off disappointed owners paid for the bikes and didn't get anything back from the firm who went bust bloody robbers mate 😒
Tiger rohar
dude is a total squid 😂 🐙
This bike gut a Aprilia 1000cc engine
Sounds like angry lion
C'mon it's 2021 if you like bike because of the sound then buy a nice earbuds and smartphone. Your neighbors will appreciate and everyone is happy.
Tvs purchased this company ? 😂 who gave them this idea tho 😂 for real this does sounds good tho ❤
This must be very expensive
why its called v4 when its 650cc parallel twin
B preet theres a The v4 which is a parallel twin 1200cc then theres the Norton super light which is the 650cc which is the parallel twin
That's a 1200cc V4, you're thinking of a completely different bike
Thats a long ass ignition...
This engine in rr310😗
The fella on the bike needs some riding training. He keeps duck walking.
Duck feet.
Looks very long
