@@kyrtuck When I watched the episode back in the day, the city was totally barren, devoid of any life, but you may be right, this is a "kid" show after all, but to be honest, I like more the nihilistic ending, is more consistent with the whole show, hell, one of the episode one of their own allies is willing to betray them and the Baron turn him into a skeleton, maybe this cartoon was created to sell toy but I like to imaging that have some deep.

If Baron Dark had survived, I think it could’ve gone on until he could eventually be defeated by having his heart stone removed and turning him back into a human to be killed. It would be awesome if they revived this hidden gem of a show

@@garethspotfur1 It took centuries to Europe to recuperate after the black death killed the majority of their population, but this damage here is much deeper, buildings are destroyed, their citizens and subjects where killed, sure, they can proclaim themselves princes and kings. But of what? What claim they have over this barren land? What people would follow them or even see them as nobility after what happen to this city? They would think that they are cursed, the best that they can do is move to another city and began again, not as nobles, but as common citizens, even that one of them would live with the stigma of being half dead.
